Okay, let's put the whole Robot situation into isolation. They are good, they serve humanity. Someone comes along and makes them bad Robots and they go on a killing spree. Looking at that on it's own, how is that NOT like The Robots Of Death?

Nice cherry picking.

I agree with gslam2 - Voyage is much more of a homage to disaster movies than a tale about killer robots.

Planet of the dead reminded me a bit of Pitch Black, but I think that was down to all the sand

Yes - Flight of the Phoenix! *kicks self for not saying so*

I bloomin' love that film. One of those that I saw when probably too young and had very strong memories of it. And nightmares. Cracking film. I'm so glad Doctor Who did a pastiche of it and that I recognised it instantly.

The recent remake wasn't so good.

Pitch Black was a corker too! Did you ever see the peculiar sequel? Very...erm...acquired taste sort of thing. The twelfth Doctor (Dame Judi Dench) is in it.

Everyone must watch Ice Cold In Alex. It's very good. The thing to do is watch it on a blazing hot summer day. Before pressing play, put a glass of really cold lager (with condensation beads) on a table in view but just out of reach. You're not allowed to touch it until the final scene.

But by then it wont be cold anymore?

Answer

Buy one of those wine cooler fridges with the glass doors and have the lager in there

If I was to go on Points of View to complain it would be complaining that Steven Moffatt demanded the next time trailers be removed off the DVDs.

Great way to stop wetting the apetite of people who ve never seen the episodes before.

Perhaps they assume the appetite of these people has been proven whetted by the fact they bought the DVDs?

I've got a DVD of classic Hancock's. I didn't throw it away after episode one because it didn't have a trailer for episode two.

They've got the DVDs... They can watch them anytime. Why on (or off) earth would anyone need their appetite whetted if they already went out and bought the episodes?

Where can I sign up for the tickets.

Actually Vin Diesel isn't my thing, and I'm not sure he gets his roles because of his acting skills.

Can I say that Asylum reminded me of "One flew over the cuckoo's nest"? Or am I in the wrong thread.

I am assuming that the similarities between Dinosaurs on a Spaceship and Silent Running have been commented on at length?
