Which was truley the worst between the two - the work of Erin or Brendan?

I think the comments on here made about Bacofoil are legendary and for me my vote goes to Lisa's showdance. It just went to prove how undeserving she was to get to that stage - how the judges could praise it was ridiculous.

Snowdance was worse but Dummydance was a bigger waste but Snowdance was funnier but Dummydance was more shocking.

In a nutshell.

Monkseal, I have recently discovered your blog and it's genius! I have read your summary for the launch show and am looking to your full report with pics later this week.

Whatever it's other shortcomings, Erin's showdance highlighted just what a great dancer Colin Jackson was.

If you were an Austin fan, Lisa & Brendan's showdance was just poetic justice.

Bacofoil did at least make me laugh & it was nice seeing Lisa humiliated like that. I liked Colin though and it was sad & an extremely cringeworthy way for his strictly journey to end.

The doll showdance was at least an attempt to actually show Colin's dancing. Despite how awful the result was, I don't think it gets the credit it deserves for being a showdance that was actually about dancing.

Lisa and Brendan's dance was the imitating of the "showdance world champions" and their weightlifting at its very worst, compounded by the distinctly unflattering costume.

I agree although I see where Monkseal is coming from too - and lets face Bacofoil was funnier than Dollygate for that reason and the fact it took it oh so seriously - Dollygate was supposed to be light hearted. I was an Eriaustin fan so it did feel like poetic justice especially after the judges showering them with tens earlier - the showdances that year showed that in the SCD final the public really did know better than the judges.

Ironically I was expected a great showdance - I wanted to slap Brendan a lot that series but I felt that he was a great showman - I can understand the mentality that led Erin to her blunders - Brendan's still eludes me.

What amused me about Bacofoil was that there had been a guest showdance by a couple who were world champions just before that.

The man had muscles on his ears and his partner weighed less than her costume.

Somehow Brendan had the same vision of himself and Lisa and copied the roll-up part of the dance.
