Have a @btinternet.com email which I use via outlook express, today has been a nightmare, missing emails, send/receive hanging constantly having to confirm network details where its timed out.

Anyone else had the problems, thought they would have sorted it by now.

I rarely use it, but by chance I expected a mail in today and it took it about an hour to arrive, going on the despatch time stamp. So that might have a connection with what you observed.

bt seems to be having problems. Mine lost contact with their DNS server last night and there's an automatic message on the system before you get to BT India saying they are working on their system and failures and disconnections may occur. I got it working again and it was working this morning - but its currently now not letting me connect to any UK newspaper - although I can get here and to US sites. bti email though is working and seems to be coming in in real time.

To be honest the BT email system is crap a lot of the time. Have you tried logging into Yahoo with your BT ID?

I sometimes find I can do that when Outlook can't get emails off the BT servers.

It's rubbish. I only have it as a reserve, would never rely on it and only give the address out to companies from whom I don't want contact...

Logged on about 10 minutes ago and everything seems to be running slowly. Tried to get onto Yahoo to look at my e-mails.
What I normally do is move to the last page and quickly scan who they are from and then block delete unwanted messages.
Cannot move to the last page and block delete at the moment.

Tried a speed test and only getting 400kbps down when I shoule be getting 74mbps via Infinity but the upload speed is what it normally is around 17mbps.

All back to normal. Pulled the plugs on both modem and router and all
back to normal. Suppose I should have done this before making first post.
