Johnny and Garys tweet gives the impression that cheating takes place but there is so much against this , I don't even know where to begin.

Trying to catch up, but I'm still behind, I think it's going to be a case of me filling in the info I've missed.

I was going to quote LovelyLaura's post about it being more interesting/realistc if Syed had found a gay Muslim man (maybe at Mosque) to open up to and connect with, but the thread closed. Anyway, my thought when I read that is that EE do appear to be pleased to get Gary Lucy in playing a character in his own right - like he is seen as drawing in viewers, so I wonder if this s/l is just as good a way of introducing the Lucy into EE, as well as a story for Chryed? So, maybe his impact migght be big, but his role introductory (clasping at straws). Otherwise, there do seem to be more interesting and believable alternatives who Syed would confide in.

I am also starting to hope that the more pessimistic Marc is about Syed and what will happen, the more positive the story's outcome will be.

I had some other stuff to post, but my mind has gone into tiredness - bugger. But I agree with the general consensus that it is annoying seeing Syed get himself into something that seems so avoidable and it is annoying that Christian and Zainab are now playing the part of Lois Lane (makes a change from Amira). The did look fantastic, though, but I am constantly worrying about this DTW geezer, which is spoiling all enjoyment for me. sorry

he tweeted the comment to a Marc twitter page so I'm presuming it's something that will upset the Marc/Syed fans????

I saw that tweet, maybe because it was to @marcelliottfans, DTW will hurt Syed in some way, # clutching at straws... For me personally cheating is a deal breaker, it would ruin Chryed for me which I couldn't bear.

I'll tell you what though, I'll be bloody pissed off if after 3 years of Chryed being faithful that EE manage to eff it up last minute by having one of them cheat.

It won't be watchable for me. If Danny is in for 3 weeks then he might be gone by end of Oct. I might have a couple of weeks in November. We'll see what the spoilers say - they will come up with cheating if it happens, or night happen, even

I know, and what would EE gain now that Chryed are leaving? Just some fed up fans who won't want to invest in their characters anymore and so won't watch? We'll see...(I keep saying that, stating the obvious)

Maybe he's just sorry that his character is going to show interest in Syed when he's with Christian His idea of what might upset us might be different to what we think. Maybe Syed gives him that money to invest and he screws him over in revenge after being knocked back?

I have lost all faith in tptb.

I can't help think though, that if one of them were to cheat it would be announced by now. Cheating storylines don't really remain secret in soapland and I'm certain the story would have been leaked to the press by now.

I don't know, but for a cheating storyline, there is a lot of cloak and dagger stuff going on - teasing us. Whatever it is, it better not be straightforward. There is already one tacky cheating storyline going on, (and I'm not interested in that - it occurred to me today that while Jack is starting to date Sharon I am supposed to be wondering whether he is seeing Kat, and I suppose when Max etc does something - but I haven't actively been interested enough to do so), so I can't stomach a 'Who will Cheat' s/l with Chryed (an All About Soap, i think, headline). I just want to know, so I can turn off the TV when it happens. Is that too much to ask?

I honestly do not think they care about the chryed fan base as long as they get viewers in .

I said it a few weeks ago and they have proven time and time again that fan bases mean nothing and it's all about getting people talking and this will . It's getting headlines in the leading tabloids and already got people talking .

but the tabloids have got nothing, really. They know no more than us.

They are spinning the love triangle and potential straying but nothing out there. Not one paper or magazine has actually revealed that Christian or Syed cheats.

EE however didn't hesitate in revealing the "Guess the shagger" storyline though.

Also the press like to be sensationalist when it comes to headlines etc.

Remember the intital story of Syed's coming out?

The papers had "Gay Muslim shocking plot" as thier headline, trying to make it sound as controversial as possible, when really it was a sensitive and moving story, and not about the dramatics at all.

The ratings are constantly declining, though.

Cheating in a couple of weeks is not good drama, it is a quick filler. A long well planned storyline of two characters falling in love and having to cheat, that is drama..I know I'm preaching to the converted. Who knows what these people think I 'like' as a viewer

Bu that's our crappy tabloids and as long as it brings in viewers I don't think EE care .

For all we know TPTB are pissed off with Marc as not only does he quit , Johnny leaves . So it won't be a happy positive ride off into the sunset we all want . Because a whole lot of crap seems to be raining down on Syed in the next month

Yeah, the fact they're keeping stuff secret makes me think it's not just a cheating storyline; like Katrina said, if it was they'd be falling over themselves to tell us :sleep:
