HD or SD TV progs. on new iPad
This is probably a daft question (in fact I know it's a daft question). But anyway, here goes.
If I watch a tv programme on my new iPad will those programmes automatically be HD, if available. I refer to those from Sky and iPlayer. I don't have a HD tv anywhere in my house so don't really have a way of knowing the difference in quality between HD and SD quality. Also, as I don't have a HD subscription for Sky will all my Sky programmes through Sky Go (which is linked to my Sky account) be SD quality or will they (such as sports progs. etc) automatically show in HD because the iPad is capable of viewing those in HD? I hope that makes sense. |

iPlayer is currently SD only also, but the BBC's SD streams on the high quality setting are very good.

I thought you can download but not stream HD content with iplayer on ipad. However as roush said the BBC SD streams are very good and unless you have your tablet connected to a large screen TV you won't notice any difference.
