^^^ it's that word 'cancer' isn't it?? you can't help thinking it's a battle to survive, yet many have. Kylie is going strong again.

Anyone's who's ever met Janet, or has heard her spiky commentaries on the DVD's will know that she has far more spirit and energy and fight in her than most people. She won't let this beat her.

I always thought Janet Fielding put a lot of her own fiesty spirit into playing Tegan and hopefully she can use that same spirit to get through this.

Absolutely gutted by this news. Have been having a 5th Doctor rewatch with commentaries recently so plenty of Janet at full blast livening things up and always ready for a laugh. Can only wish her all the best and hope she's around for a long time to come.

Well given that cancer is common enough that 1 in 3 people are likely to get it in their lives it really is not surprising that in Doctor Who's history that a number have suffered, from the disease.
I've lost 3 relatives to it already and another 3 have had it.

Agreed, we all care for the professionals who worked so hard on Doctor Who especially the classic era where shooting times were so narrow.
Its nice to see how much Doctor Who fans care about the cast and crew that helped make our favourite show. I realy hope Janet sees this, hopefully it will cheer her up. One of who's most underated companions, and 100% in need of a return for the 50th x
I truly wish Janet the best!! I Loved her as Tegan, and loved her even more for her recent commentaries on the DVD's !
