Not sure as I don't eat much chocolate but I know M&S do a fair copy because they're always by the checkout.
Oh, and I'm old enough to remember when they had a bit of walnut inside as well! ![]()

My mother always loved these i remember her eating them when I was a child (20+ yrs ago!) but hadn't seen them anywhere for a long time. Then last xmas I came across them in a pack of 3 in poundstretcher!! So i bought her a few boxes aswell as some for myself
![]() i did notice they were different to what i remember tho, the chocolate was smooth whereas i'm sure it used to be ridged years ago and they were definitely smaller than I remember

I got a box of three from poundland recently, and was disappointed as they don't taste anywhere near as delicious as they used to when I was a kid. The white centre is much sweeter and sickly. It used to be slightly tart, which was really nice.
Sweets and chocs are not what they used to be for sure! |

There always was a walnut inside the M&S ones, but never inside the ones you got in sweet shops.
"Launched in 1910, Walnut Whip is Nestle Rowntree's oldest current brand. It was previously made by Duncan's of Edinburgh. Over 1 million walnuts are used every week in the manufacture of Walnut Whips at Halifax, West Yorkshire. Most of them are imported from China and India. The original Walnut Whip used to have a walnut placed inside the shell as well as on top. Almost one Walnut Whip is eaten every 2 seconds in the UK. Walnut Whip generated £8million of sales in 2003 |

Yes, they used to be called Duncan Walnut Whips. the outside was ridged and there was a walnut inside. These days they are far too sweet for me.
Oh for the days of chocs from the past. |
