i vary between koppaberg, rekorderlig, stella artois cidre pear, magners and the likes of aspall, henry westons, savanna dry etc in coop.
i find that strongbow gives me heart burn, so i tend to avoid it. bulmers on draught was nice but i was told by lad running the local, its not available in draught anymore only bottles. try some westons old rosie but make sure your not driving later as it is rather strong, 7.5% i think. |

Finn River Dry Hopped Cider, gorgeous and local to me.
I remember back in my youth trying White Lightening, every time it would hit my stomach and I would be instantly physically sick. It put me off cider for years. I also found that when I was a smoker, I couldn't stand the taste of any cider. One of the perks of giving up, enjoying cider. I haven't had a Koppaberg for a few years now, was one of my favourite tipples

White Lightning is hideous stuff.People say to me Scrumpy Jack n Strongbow aren't quality ciders but they are top class compared to that cheap trash.
Cider really had a revolution a few years back, some good PR and advertising on the box. |

Kopperberg or rekorderig strawberry and lime flavour. I find the brothers strawberry cider very sweet and sickly so Kopperberg and Reorderlig are really the only two for me. I occasionally have bulmers or magnets with loads of black current but strawberry is my favourite. Only tend to drink it in summer though. Not a fan of strongbow.

The only cider I've ever tried and liked is the strawberry and lime flavour Rekorderlig.

Hate to say it but Kopparberg and Rekorderlig for me.
Used to drink white cider when I was a kid, that stuff is technically an apple based spirit rather than a cider. |

I actually prefer Kopperbergs alcoholic free cider to their alcoholic versions. It has a refreshing taste to it and doesn't leave a back taste that their alcoholic versions do.
And woodpeckers, or aldi's pear cider if having the alcoholic ones. I don't like dry ciders, and I find both of those are tangy and refreshing. I have found woodpeckers hard to find and my local sainsburies don't even stock it. I did like the stella cidre, but it still left a back taste sadly. I only had a sip as I am not meant to be drinking alcohol right now due to medication. |

I prefer the ones that you may consider as artisan, the likes of Aspalls and Westons etc.
I just mean that to differenciate from ones such as Stongbow and Woodpecker. If I have a bottle of stuff like that then I buy ALDI Taurus or Olde English. Henney's is my favourite. Medium or Sweet but also can't go wrong with the Dry or Vintage. |

Taurus from ALDI.
It's not the best, but it's cheap, and OK for cider shandy. |

I love the 3L bottles of strong cider from sainsburys for £3.70. 3 litre bottles are great; you are coming to the end and then you think yippee I've still got 2 pints left.

I drink...
...cider made by our neighbour from our own apples - I cannot adequately describe how appalling it is. But then, I've seen how it is made... ![]() Or the most wonderful fruity (but not sweet) cider made by a small bio producer across the valley who uses local apples and charges only 2€ a 75ml bottle. But I'm lucky living in cider and perry country. |

When I was young (16) I used to drink Woodpecker as it was sweet (then Woodpecker Export), but you dont see that anywhere now.
I really dont like Strongbow much anymore, its cheap tasting crap. Scrumpy Jack is quite nice, I also really like Aspalls, Henry Westons and Thatcher's Gold is nice too ![]() Used to drink K but its very strong - 8.4%
