No! Dan played Ian right to the very end, which was evident when Ian was shocked when he found out Dan would've taken Danielle through and not him.
But in all fairness I'm one of those people that believe whoever gets the most votes deserve it because that's the whole aim of the game, it's what the jury thinks not what I as a viewer think. But to simply answer the question I wasn't satisfied because it felt like a very bitter jury who were casting anti-Dan votes as opposed to pro-Ian votes. That's just what I think on a strategic level. On a personal level though he seems like a genuinely nice person so well done to him!

I'm ecstatic that Ian won.

I'm happy Ian won as Dan had the incredibly stupid Danielle following him all the way. And of course as a coach Dan wasn't eligible for eviction at the start.

I still don't like the whole jury thing that much. You have people who really aren't that good HMs (like Joe, Ashley, Jenn) deciding who wins. Also Danielle seemed to have no chance to talk to the other jury members, seems a bit stupid. The fact that she got to the final 3 shows how weak this season is though, it's like if Lawon had got to the final 3 of last year's season.

The right person won though as it is meant to be a social game and not just a strategic one. Ian did well in competitions when needed and didn't have to rely on idiots. And Dan's arrogance and the way the producers made it all about him was annoying. He had no real humour unlike someone like Russell on Survivor who made many laugh with him. Russell also managed to win competitions at the end, and in this one Ian won the final HoH. I think Ian made the wrong choice in taking Dan to the final 2, but otherwise he played a pretty good game.

This, I also felt the Jury were bitter and jealous of Dan, he was by far the best player in BB14 Ian was just an also ran who benefited from the jury bitterness., but hey thats what you get when petty children get played.

Yey so happy for a noob to take it. As new players tend to be in awe of returning players and seem to lose focus on themselves. Ian certainly brought a little bit of everything to the game, and even though he stabbed people in the back he still had something that won them over Dan.

I knew Dan was playing too carelessly. A great game is not lying to someone's face then stabbing them in the back and expecting them to vote for you in the end. It's doing all that and still having a way to win them over at the end (through whatever means necessary). If you can't then you're simply not playing well. Anyone can stab people in the back and assume they are playing great rather than just screwing themself over.

Putting himself in a position to take Danielle to the final 2 with him was the obvious move for Dan, not only because she would have been easier to beat (particularly on a strategic level) but to also brag about being the mentor that still managed to get his own player to the end. Would've made a great case for the jury, but oh well.

I thought the final nail in the coffin for Dan was his final speech to the jury when he basically said he had screwed them all over. Didn't even get Jenn's vote, and probably only got Danielle's because she hadn't spoken much to the others.

Not really, I wanted Dan to win but I am kind of happy for Ian too.

A bitter jury strikes again. I thought bitter juries were reserved only for Survivor. Dan losing it to a 6-1 is a disgrace. He by far played the best game this season..
So what if he swore on the bible and his family. If people are stupid to fall for that, they deserve to be deceived. Dont they understand that swearing on something makes no difference whatsoever. It dosent affect anything or anyone.Only religious, superstitious idiots fall for that nonsense. I like Frank but I was sick at the way he was still bitter about Dan.

The only reason Im not too annoyed is because Ian won the last HoH. So,that counts as something but Dan was the one pulling all the strings the whole season.. The fact that Ian had no idea about Dan's f2 with Dani or the fact that Dan tried to blindside him atleast twice late on leaves him a clueless winner who won some important comps but happened to stumble upon a power alliance with Dan at its head.
Ian is not a bad winner but Dan absolutely deserved it. Janelle for once was spot on about something..

More than some, he won quite a few and more so I think towards the end when it really mattered.

And as I'll keep saying the coaches had the huge advantage the first few weeks of having ready made alliances and being immune from eviction. Also too many newbies were weak, though admittedly their starting position in the game with the coaches made them very weak.

Although Ian is a good winner. As Janelle said, Dan not winning is quiet the travesty. He totally outplayed Ian, and the jury definatley made the wrong decision, I think the first ever time it has happened. At least the final two was the correct final 2!!!!

Not sure about that. Dannielle should've won BB3 in my opinion and I wasn't happy with Jordan's win either.

Ian played the best game out of the finalists, but was reliant on winning competitions e.g. the POV when Dan wanted him out and the final HOH to seal his last two spot. Dan was covered on all bases, but those bases were built on a foundation of bloodshed. He forgot one crucial element of this game and that's the jury.

Many past players could have played Dan's game, but knew by doing so that they'd never win over the jury. He was up his elbows in blood and by the end he was drowning. It would have taken the greatest final speech of all time to turn that jury around. Dan snookered himself and the final result told the final story. Dan forgot how to win Big Brother.

I never count Dannielles misjustice. Because it was unfair. And Jordans is the only time when you can make the point the jury might of got it wrong, but I thought it was the right choice anyways!!!

So happy with the final two I didn't think it would happen as I thought Ian should have chosen Dannielle not Dan, 'If you wanna be the best you have to beat the best" Ian's words if he chose better he would be more deserving. Dan's game was epic and rightfully he ought to have been the winner. But his fellow House Guests decide and he clearly didn't take enough slop weeks to win their votes. This is a long game and ultimately even if Ian profited from Dan's dirty work he deserves the prize. The jury discussion had me convinced that Dan had at least Brittany and Jen's votes but ultimately they voted with their heart and that is why Ian won.
It is possible that Ian knew that Dan would have chosen Danielle and played the naive card to the end, with a final really Dan you weren't gonna pick me shock horror act. But I think prob not since he is risk averse it would have made sense to pick Dannielle. Still he was cool under pressure in competitions when it mattered and it should be noted he did well in every comp he did not purposely throw. Unike Dan who relied on manipulation to negate the competitions, which I do think is a good strategy.

Nope the jury was too bitter to vote for Dan, the one person i didn't want to win was Ian. Also i wanted Danielle to win.

I think I always get irritated when my favorite doesn't win, but the name of the game is to get jury votes at the end of these games (i.e. Survivor/BB) and if you don't get them, that's your fault. Either be a liar who backstabs everyone AND drag along someone useless so they have to vote for you, or be a likable guy/girl who befriends jury members and stay loyal to 2-3 people who go into the jury. It's relatively simple. Also don't think the guy people will root for.

The name of the game in both shows is to get to the end of the game in the first place. So all who get to the final before the jury are winners to me, they certainly beat all those in the jury anyway.

Dan's strategy was good enough to get him to final 2 but that's all. A winning strategy involves impressing a jury enough to get their votes. If jurors sincerely feel you played dirtier than they would ever play, that's reason enough to vote against you on principle. That Ian did none of that swearing on Bible or loved ones stuff turned out to be crucial when push came to shove. Good for him.

If Dan was in the final two with Danielle he'd have won.

Yes, I agree with this too.

And if Dan didn't start playing the game hard and had his funeral, and the Bible swearing, he would have been evicted instead of Britney.

Dans never been the social player. His game both series, has been being a very strategic game, and he makes alot of enemies along the way. There would be no other way for him to have made it to the final 2, if he didnt do the things he did. He just needed for the jury to actually accept this, and to reward him on his gameplay, and not his social game. Obviously they didnt. But I doubt it matters to him. He got to final 2, and got his player to final 3, which considering it was down to them two, after the first week, its pretty remarkable.

I have had time too cool off. And Im alright with Ian winning now. I still think Dan deserved it more, but Jury's gonna be stupid at times!!!
