Plex and non MediaLink LG Blu-Ray

Not sure if this is the right board for this post.

I have just set up Plex on a Windows XP machine and my LG TV with MediaLink finds and plays all the film files (with media art) and iTunes file (no art) with out any problems.

I would rather watch video files through my LG Blu-Ray player that does not have MediaLink.

The player lists Plex has a network server and lists the films and iTunes tracks but when I click play I get a message stating file not available.

Any pointers in the right direction for a fix ?
