Note to Alison Grodner

Now this season is over (and a huge improvement on the last two) Alison and the rest of production needs to take notethat Ian and Frank were the most popular players in the game this year and most popular houseguests for the last few years. And guess what? They werent reurning houseguests and they were superfans of the show. Hopefully this should send a message to production. Next year no returning players and cast superfans not random models who have no idea what the show is till a month before they go on it.

No more returning house guests until Dr Will reconsiders his retirement.

I loved the returning House Guests twist. I loved all of the 4 returning house guests and what they brought to this season. Dan is my fav all time player and to see him come back as a villain made this series for me. So IMHO returning HGs make a series brilliant but only in small numbers so they can't rule the house. If they can make a majority it spoils it for new HGs but in small numbers it is good and this series giving them the emotional connection to the newbies through coaching was inspired.

My message to Grodner is GO! Her time in charge has ruined the show with rigging for her pet housemates and her shift in focus towards showmances and OTT characters like Rachel instead of pure strategic gameplay as in the Shapiro era, the sooner she moves on and somebody else takes up the mantle the better.

As for the Returning Players debate I on the whole prefer brand new casts, and only think returnees should play in Allstar seasons, however this has been one of the few times (Survivor Micronesia being the other) where the returning players worked well in the show, and were not only capable enough players in their own regard but also willing to think for themselves and not bend over for the vets to dominate.

Note to AG: Time to consider passing the baton?

Although the re-set (as bias as it was) did save this season, I'm over returning players.

We need at least a couple of seasons of all newbies. And if we have to have returning players then please let it be an All Stars season, rather than newbies vs returnees.
