Sony Bravia - reduced functionality after updates
I have noticed a recurring theme with Sony - you buy a piece of equipment, say the PS3, or an internet TV like the EX721, and after a firmware update they actually take away functionality or compatibility with files with each subsequent update. I am at the point now, a year later, where the EX721 will play maybe 20% of my movie files. The PS3 is going the same way.
Is it fair that we buy something - and they make it less-than with updates? it should be eligible for a refund. Have you experienced the same? |

Oh yes - I bought a LG pc combined blu-ray writer/hd-dvd player and with the first update it took away the ability to play back hd-dvds! Brilliant! Luckily I re-installed the software from the disk and it was ok again but what a stupid update.
