Nick Cleggs I'm sorry' charity single set to storm itunes chart
Nick Clegg is set to become the first deputy prime minister in history to have a number one single on Sunday. This thread is not a joke.
See the brand new music video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUDjR...layer_embedded This single goes on sale on itunes later today and is expected to go straight to number 1. All proceeds will go to Sheffield Children's hospital. This has now been mentioned on the following sites. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-19660345 http://www.itv.com/news/2012-09-20/n...ry-song-spoof/ http://news.sky.com/story/987410/nic...ks-spoof-remix http://music.uk.msn.com/blog/editor-...878bab&_nwpt=1 http://uk.news.yahoo.com/nick-clegg-...112843511.html http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012...n_1899539.html |

I have information that this song will feature on the one show from 7pm on BBC1. It is also to feature on CNN in America.
Just heard the song played on Capital Birmingham, it is amazing how quickly this has spread. |

It's funny to watch.
But would you really buy it to listen to over and over again? Oppa Gundam Style! |

What is the theme of the song? Is it that he is sorry for being the leader of a Liberal Democrat part that has had to sacrifice around 90% of it's principles for the sake of coalition Government?

I'm just listening to it now. What has the world come to?
I certainly won't be buying. I can't stand listening to him waffling on TV, never mind this!

As i predicted exclusively by me here on digital spy. Nick Clegg is currently at 34 in the UK music chart after less than 24 hours since release. By this evening he is expected to be in the top 20.
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/clegg-sorry...141416846.html Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has become a pop sensation after storming into the charts. After two years of languishing in the political polls, the Liberal Democrat leader is enjoying some popularity - at least in the Apple iTunes chart. The spoof song, which uses Mr Clegg's two-and-a-half-minute video apology over his party's pledge on tuition fees, went to number 39 in the iTunes chart, just a little more than 12 hours after its release. It is unclear whether Mr Clegg, thought to be the first member of the Cabinet to have enjoyed a chart career while still holding a day job, will manage to outperform pop rivals such as The Script and Little Mix in the sales tally. But he has already seen off stiff competition from Kanye West and is hot on Pink's heels. Nick Clegg Says I'm Sorry (The Autotune Remix) song initially entered the Apple iTunes chart at 116, but sales quickly soared. The spoof was created by satirical website www.thepoke.co.uk. A spokesman for the website said: "Nick Clegg has been very good-humoured about this. "He has become the first politician in history to achieve a position in the pop charts for making an apology. "The Poke is staggered by its success." Mr Clegg gave permission for the single to be released and all profits will be given to Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust, of which his wife Miriam is a patron. |

Only in the UK. This would never happen in the US.

I'm sitting here laughing my head off at the idea of this being in the charts. Only in the UK, huh?

Anyone who downloads it needs serious mental help. Give money straight to the charity concerned instead.

The song isn't supposed to be genuinely good.
It's a laugh. |
