So Maiden headline so I assume that means they wont do a UK tour-yet again?!

That's a shame because both Maiden and Rammstein were both strongly rumoured for Sonisphere next year.

They both headlined Sonisphere 2010 as well. Usually I go to Sonisphere so I'd rather not have a repeat of headliners although I'd love to see Rammstein again.

I saw them both @ Sonisphere 2010 as well but it was felt that after last year's cancellation they would go for a couple of "bankers" to re-establish the event in the UK.

I agree i would rather see different headliners every year, but the reality is that only two bands really draw the crowds, Iron Maiden and Metallica, and a lot of people won't go to a festival if one or the other isn't headlining.

Maiden and Rammstein?! Very tempting already. Will take some effort to beat the 2012 line-up though.

I'm definitely going Download now these 2 have been announced

Green Day are touring in the UK in June, so they'd be a good 3rd headliner. 2 metal headliners, 1 rock, works well I think.

I'd also love to see Turisas, would suit the day of Rammstein.

Airbourne

Rob zombie and Marylin Manson are touring together, so maybe either or both may show up too.

Though Mansons performance in 09 may have got him blacklisted

Slipknot. Iron Maiden. Rammstein. YES!! Would consider this my dream line-up, never thought it would happen. Was thinking about not going as I've been the past 2 years. I'm going this year.

It is strange that most of the media outlets were quoting Pearl Jam as the third headliners. I wonder now that Slipknot are playing as the Friday headliners if Pearl Jam should have been reported as special guests.

Based on seeing Maiden & Rammstein @ Sonisphere a couple of years ago this could definitely be one to go to.

Somehow I don't see the return of Sonisphere next year now.

I have had my tickets since the week after this years event, as I know the type i want sell out fast, in fact they sold out weeks ago, just hope the sun shines on us next year. Really hoping sonisphere is back next year, I love both festivals but for different reasons. Best night at a festival was Sonisphere 2010, lost my voice and got back to the tent a sweaty bruised mess, happy days!
