Dan needlessly alienated the entire Jury. That's very poor strategy to winning. It's great if your goal is to come in 2nd place.
I agree, Dan's Jury management was woeful.

I considered 4 possible ways for Dan to win:

1. Get to F2 with Boogie (whom anyone could beat), which failed when he was trapped on the block after Frank won the Veto.

2. Pack the Jury with all 3 coaches, each of whom ultimately recognised the brilliance of his HG manipulations, together with Danielle, who was his obedient drone. Since Dan allowed Danielle to evict Janelle before the Jury, I doubt he really considered this.

3. Drag Danielle to F2, expose her as the monkey to his organ grinder and demand the money.

4. Drag someone utterly useless to F2 and hope. This failed when Jenn was evicted.

The stars really didn't align for Dan, despite his best efforts....

Strategic self interest is the bottom line IMO.

1 Good players don't plot openly. Dan is better than good.

2 Good players expect to have everyone talking crap about them, only poor players get unnerved by this "discovery". But it's par for the course.
Agreed. But Boogie often takes things personally and could have been swayed to taking Dan out if he heard something he didn't like.

The newbies didn't want a previous winner winning again. Dan had no chance unless he was against Boogie basically, no matter how well he played the game.

so Frank agreed with you that he is not a good player? Or what are you telling me here?
Boogie admitted to Frank that he was wrong to talk him out of backdooring Dan (the week Wil was evicted). Frank admitted he was wrong to have listened and should have followed his own instincts.

As any good player should IMO.

imo ANY newbie player would have listen to a coach who 2 times played the game with Dr. Will and claims to be good friends with Dan on the outside world. I bet even you would have listen to Boogie, without watching live feed and not knowing whats going on.
The reason why Boogie was so wrong about Dan is because he wasnt in the game 100%. His dumbest move was going for 10k instead of HOH. Had he won HOH maybe the F2 would have been a total different one.

Btw Dan made mistakes and so did Dr. Will ... nobody plays it 100% perfect.

Frank knew Dan wanted him out from week 3 onwards, because Dan stupidly told Boogie about the blindside plan. Frank knew Dan wanted to work with Boogie, but not him. When you know you have a mortal enemy in the house and you have the chance to remove that enemy, there should be no hesitation whatever.

It doesn't matter if you're a newbie player, you either know the game or you don't. Frank knew enough to act, he chose to allow Boogie to control him instead.

If BBUSA ever do an international season, I wouldn't mind taking that bet.....

Agreed. Boogie was slack from start to finish.

Agreed. I've pointed out some of Dan's mistakes elsewhere in this thread.
