Windows Boot Manager Help

hi all i have an advent AOI 100 & 3 weeks ago i had to put my pc back to factory setting & seemed to be working fine til last night when i went to start up...i got this message

Windows Boot Manager
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings and click "Next."
3. Click "repair your computer."#

Status: 0xc000000f

file \Boot\BCD

INFO a error occured while attempting to read boot configuration data

i do not & never have had a disc i have tried tapping F8 but that just goes back the message above ,,,,,any help would be appreciated

You will need an operating system installation disk to get up, and running again.

Might be worth buying one. There are some good deals about.

you seem to be getting conflicting error messages as you say it's XP yet XP doesn't use BCD!

if you can get to another pc, which i assume you can as you're on here!!! then you can download repair discs or alternatively find someone else with XP home sp3 and use their machine to make a boot /repair disc.

You may wish to consider ditching horrible Windows altogether on that machine. Burn yourself a Puppy Linux Live CD and run that instead
