Will the iPhone 5 have a better signal?
Hola
![]() Got my iPhone 5 and it's up and running and all restored which took a bloody age! I was just wondering do Apple update the aerial technology at all when releasing new handsets? Should I get better signal where it was very low previously? |

The antenna has apparently been improved so there may be a difference, we will have to wait till we see some numbers though.

The iPhone 4 suffered from the "Antennagate" problem, where holding the phone in certain ways would cause the signal to drop substantially.
Apple fixed that in the iPhone 4S by making it so that the phone automatically uses a different part of the antenna when you're holding it. The iPhone 5 has the same antenna design. In short, if you have an iPhone 4 or older you'll probably see an improvement. If you have an iPhone 4S, you probably won't. |
