Speculation about Oswin/Clara
TheJediSlayer
22-09-2012
I've been looking at the clues we have so far...

Oswin dies at some point in the future in Asylum Of The Daleks.

Clara is apparently (from set reports) dead at some point during the Christmas episode, which is set in Victorian times.

The recently released toy range (Temporal Sonic Screwdriver) mentions the Tardis being stuck in a temporal schizm between 4 times zones. Elizabethan, Victorian, present day and future London.

So what if the Doctor meets a version of Clara/Oswin/Insert other name here in each time zone (the future one being Oswin from Asylum) and it seems shes destined to die in each time zone but by saving her in one of these (whichever he visits last) he breaks the temporal schizm and frees the Tardis?

(I don't quiet have an explanation about how she can be across the times zones yet.)

Your thoughts?

I really don't think the toy is a plot point in any way. As much as it's a good idea (if the toy is a clue, it is a good idea), there are other toys that are recently released that have been ignored. It;s either they are all part of the same thing, or they are just toys.

I think, on reflection, it's that they are just toys!

Moffat made it pretty clear in DWM that we know nothing about Oswin - so it's safe to speculate there is plenty more to come on that front.

( It also amuses me that the first thing Jenna did with the TARDIS was fall through the unsecured doors )
