I just found the whole thing hilarious! We all know by now that on the Saturday show of bootcamp there is little singing (most of it occurs on the Sunday) so, based on pure entertainment, I absolutely loved Rylan and his character.

When that arrogant guy in his group was discussing to Rylan and the other one how he was going to sing his part, Rylan's bemused facial expressions (while sitting in his onesie and ugg boots) was hilarious! And then that gay guy in their group always latching on to Rylan and sucking up to him.

It's just a welcome change to all the contestants who have sob stories (that guy who has severe stage fright) or who try to serenade Tulisa.

I don't want to know any spoilers but I hope Rylan makes the live shows.

I must have laughed for a good 10 minutes at Ottavio sneaking in another high note once the song had ended. The judges' reactions were priceless.

The whole part of that show was just hilarious! For a second, I thought the judges were going to make them form a boy band. They still might...

I suggested this last night on the highlights thread - the new Village People. Someone responded that they could be called Village Idiots I don't ever remember laughing so much at the X Factor. It was pure gold.

edit:

Here's the clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mkXwLitYX0

Just showed it to X Factor hating OH - and he nearly cried with laughter.

They were hilarious!

I think Louis enjoyed that slightly too much.

I think that and the girl from MK1 butting in front of that other group made last night for me. That last note from Octavio was hilarious

Yay, I completely agree!

This is why the shows needs Rylan and would be so dull without him. He was definitely the highlight of last night, and Gathan (the arrogant guy) was absolutely tragic. It was funny because he wasn't even a great singer, yet he thought of himself as being much higher than Rylan.

Not sure if anyone saw but Rylan said after their performance something like "don't know if I'm more happy that we all got through, or that we don't have to work as a group anymore" Amazing.

I think they are just keeping them in there for comedy value cos none of them deserved to go through on singing alone. I hope Rylan makes the live shows though cos we need 1 comedy act to liven things up. I'm sure I recognise Octavio from somewhere, was he on Big brother?

I didn't like Rylan at all until last night. His moments on camera were by far the most entertaining of an otherwise pity party "we've not had any time together as a group" nonsense from other contestants. All they had to do was sing their bit and look lively which is what rylan did. Thn when he stood on stage thinking he was going home....brilliant!

I don't find it hilarious or entertaining whatsoever. Three camp guys with absolutely no discernible singing talent. I can see all that at my local bar at the weekends.

I don't want to come across unpolitical correct but I really despise the way X Factor try and play the sexuality card with contestants as if being a certain sexuality makes them special.

Sexuality is completely irrelevant.

Although I will admit to finding it hilarious.

To be fair, not every gay man is as camp as those three, and some straight men are quite camp. It's about their 'campness' rather than their sexuality. There was no mention of who they fancied or why they fancied them; it was all about out-camping each other and it was bloody hilarious.

I thought the whole thing was funny but I'm praying he doesn't make the live shows. I've heard a rumour that the judges are only picking 3 acts this year and I think people would be livid if he took one of the spots !

The best that essex monstrosity can hope for is being shoved into a group. Infact why dont the 3 camp guys make a band and call themselves "friends of Dorothy" or something?

I thought Rylan looked quite authoritative with his hairpiece shoulder pads. Had a look of General Zod!

I said this in another thread. It's the only way I could tolerate the desperate wannabe making it through

As Louis has the groups, I wouldn't say it's out of the question.

Imagine, a boyband so camp they make Diva Fever and Johnny Robinson look like Millwall supporters on a stag weekend . Can you imagine what camp glitterball disco karaoke classics Louis would have them performing?

LOL if they blatantly go for the joke and stop trying to make out he can sing i might let it drop and that sounds hilarious but i still hate him with a passion and if he gets through over people who can actually sing i will not be happy!

That's what is really annoying me at the moment. The boys catagory is really strong this year and there are probably at least 7 or 8 who would be worthy of a place in the live shows and it looks like they've picked a joke act over genuine talent.
