You Tube back on the iPad

Just installed Google's new version of this after its removal after the iOS6 download.

Looks impressive but what puzzles me is I've saved a couple of clips onto my favourites list but can't find this list afterwards!

Any clues folks?

It's not "back on the iPad" though. The only YouTube app currently available is the iPhone one. Are you using that?

YouTube never left iPad. You could always go to www.youtube.com and watch videos, or make a web app using the link button.

If I had known that youtube would be deleted, I would have delayed updating the OS. I did download the free youtube app available on itunes and am not too keen on it.

I don't have your version but have you looked at your reading list?

Get the youtube player in the top10 at the moment called Jasmine. It's very good by all accounts.

Ah so ... Did the YouTube app disappear when I updated the OS on my iPad? I only noticed today it has gone! Anyone know why?

Yes it disappeared.

Their agreement ended. Google probably wanted something they could run ads in and Apple probably wanted something that wasn't tied in to their iOS.

A separate app is on the way. In the mean time there's an iPhone version you can upscale or there's a 3rd party app called Jasmine that's very good.
