Oh dear my ears , that sounded horrible but judging by the reaction it was a piece of genius.

Surely im not the only one who thought that was an absolute pile of shite ? , the show is taking it well to far now in taking the audience for complete mugs.

As did the audience (and myself). Hence the standing ovation.

TC's probably not the only one who disliked it, but s/he does seem to be the minority.

Im sure the workers on the show must of been telling the audience to stand up and clap ... i wouldn't even of stopped to throw her a penny in the street if she was singing that infact il'd be running away with my hands over my ears.

Whilst I think she deserved to progress, the Kate Nash tribute act stigma is going to be hard to shake off. And we've yet to see her sing competently sans guitar - how would she cope with the weekly themes?

How on earth will she cope with the different genre each week?
One trick pony.

I didn't dislike it, but I just don't like the whole notion of these standing ovations.

Not my cup of tea, but I thought she was quite good, she can sing, write, Songs and play an instrument , which places her no 1 in the talent stakes as I can see.

I don't get comments like this. Just because somebody is popular, it doesn't mean that everybody has to like them. I don't recall the OP disputing that she has fans.

If I don't like somebody, I wouldn't give a sloppy crap what Twitter and Facebook thought. We're all allowed our views.

*For the record, I don't dislike Lucy. Not a big fan, but don't have anything against her*

Yes. OP's post is clearly very accepting that there are people who like Lucy, and not at all stating that anyone who likes her is a complete mug.

It suddenly becomes a different show every time she's on. Why does she want to be on an image and singing show when her image is plain and her voice is non existant. She may as well talk some lyrics. "Emperor's new clothes" I'm afraid.

I thought she was amazing, the judges did, the audience did and obviously a lot of the viewing public too. No one ever is going to be liked by everyone

If the live shows consist of her repeating the same thing over it will get tedious. As for an album full of that stuff would drive me insane!!

How does a phrase relating that people don't want to admit something is bad so they don't look stupid relate to Lucy?

People know whether they like her or not, and a lot of people like her. It's not even remotely a case of "Emperor's New Clothes".
