She reminds me of a cross between Lily Allen and Victoria Wood. I wouldn't say the music industry is exactly overflowing with clever, wry songwriters.

It just shows how out of touch the X Factor is that they're so thrilled to have her. You can tell that they are hanging credibility all over this pick. Embarrassing.

She is talented no question, but when you think of Victoria Wood, who Lucy is constantly being compared to, the songs are only part of her show, they are interspersed with sketches, mockumentaries, and stand up.

I don't think it will work just song after song, and of course the themed weeks on the lives (unless they are somehow altered this year).

She is being used by X factor so they can say they don't just find MOR, ballad singers .

I think she's fab and just what Xfactor needs to liven it up.
She has a good voice, writes her own stuff, accompanys herself too.
Ticks all the boxes for me.

Elton John can sing quite well, and writes beautiful timeless songs. I'm not a fan of his, but I can appreciate his talent. Lucy - not so much. It's all pretty much the same; mildly amusing but not original (unless you're really young and haven't had much exposure to comedy), and a bit embarrassing. The Jeremy Kyle thing she did on Xtra Factor was woeful.


She's a comedienne - and a fairly limited one. Yours and my concept of 'meaningful' are quite at odds.

If you don't think Lucy is a good artist - you don't think she's a good artist. It's all subjective.
