I'm very disappointed. I loved his rendition of At Last, but I'm beginning to think that was his party piece, practised day in and day out to wow the judges.

Yes, he has incredible range, but so does Leona and her warbling gets right on my wick, Jahmene looks set to be even worse unless someone puts the brakes on him.

I agree. I just listened to his first audition and last nights again and in the cold light of day - they both still sound phenominal.

And I am very much not a fan of vocal gymnastics - but I think with a bit of reigning in on that score Jahmene is the one to beat.

Yes, though Ella impressed hugely too. I suspect she is more likeable though and that counts for a lot.

It is hotting up to be the best XF I've seen.

His first audition was overrated , it was supposed to be a showcase of his range but it turned into a hot mess , last night was awful , I felt for him those last notes must have been sung in about 5 different keys , how any one could describe that as phenomenal is beyond me .They obviously want him there for the story line as the shy guy that battles adversity and triumphs but so far he's been a huge let down .
