Here it is, ladies and gentlemen, and long overdue!

92 days. That is how long remains until this extremely talented soap star turned global whovian icon falls* through the TARDIS doors (*see: DWM 452 for details) and takes her destined place as the Doctor Who companion.

Having been watched by millions every other weekday across the country for four years, she's no stranger to much of the British public, but she once was to many in the Doctor Who and Torchwood forum who dare not venture in to such Soapy places. Needless to say, Asylum of the Daleks settled all of that, and Oswinitis set in.

***

So! Where to see Jenna next, away from the Doctor Who filming sets of course.. this coming week!

Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th - Room at the Top - BBC Drama Promo Link

Date TBC - Dancing on the Edge - Promo Link

***

No doubt, I'll happy serve as a solo thread bumper when times are slow over the coming months. I shall leave with this closing remark.

I met Jenna-Louise Coleman for all of 45-seconds. In that time, my numerous assumptions were all validated. She's warm, bubbly, intelligent, well-spoken and fantastically charming. With her background and talent (and her straight A's), she is sure to be the suitable role model Doctor Who's younger audience can appreciate.

So lets do some appreciating of our own, and long may she reign as second in command of the TARDIS when the times comes. Cosplayers, on your marks.

Everyone, basically. But that shouldn't dampen our appreciation of the lovely and talented Jenna.

Well said @ the top there!
Glad I'm not the only one to think so. So looking forward to seeing this bright, charming and intelligent young actress again at Christmas.

I can't be the only one too who's glad the Doctor won't be milling around on his own for several episodes with that "Pond-shaped" hole in the Tardis? Geronimo...

Saw the title and knew immediately who the author would be Let us share our love of the 11th Doctor's new and almost definitely fantastic companion, who hopefully won't get killed off quicker than you can say Doctor Who?

From the shallow depths of google image search.

Hopefully some new filming pics for some upcoming episodes also emerge.

We haven't seen any since the Christmas special was filmed.

Tom MacRae. Gotta love him

MacRae told Digital Spy that he had been impressed by the 26-year-old star's original audition tapes.

"She just had this amazing energy," he explained. "She's actually a couple of years older than Karen [Gillan] but she seems younger - she seems more of a teenager and bouncy. She's fantastic.

"It's really hard to take over from any companion that's loved like Amy and Rory are, and she's just going to be so different whilst still being a Doctor Who companion. It's a very good choice from the producers."
