Hey guys. I've tried to stream a couple of programmes on iplayer recently and even though i'm getting a smooth video stream i'm getting micro sound stutters every minute or so. I use Netflix a lot with no problem so just wondering if this a known issue with iplayer or is one of my settings a miss? Cheers.

I just streamed eastenders and casualty in HD and no issues here, However before i play a stream i give it 1 minute as i always find that it stops and circles. And its through a LAN connection.

I too am experiencing sound dropouts like the ones you mention but only in HD iplayer not love film (4od and itv player have always been ropey).
I had put it down to broadband speed but virgin have just upped this to a reliable 20meg which is way faster than min requirements.
Don't know if there are any other settings to fiddle with - I do find I have to clear my Cache out from time to time otherwise iplayer just seizes up.
Overall it's great (standard def is pretty good) just a pity when it's nearly perfect!
Does anyone out there know a fix please?

iplayer works flawless on xbox360 for me so this is a ps3 problem. I haven't used the ps3 for sometime so it may be fixed by now but i really can't be bothered trying.
