Novelty act, agreed. Mediocre voice, agreed. I'm glad he's through, though, as the show thrives on having a certain amount of variety and unpredictability. Just a bit disappointed he'll not be under Louis' direction

More charm, wit and voice. Rylan though... he is going to get on my nerves... I mean I guess he could be compared to joke acts like wagner, diva fever and johnny (although all respect to johnny I loved him! He was more then a joke act to me ) but with Rylan, he isn't actually funny or nice?? He doesn't make much sense when he talks and his constant rabbiting on about ibiza is bloody annoying! Mute button will be at the ready when he's around |

Every year there has to be at least one novelty act in the live finals. However, I don't think he will actually make the final. If he were in the over's and Louis was the mentor then maybe. But there are some strong contenders in the boys' group and I doubt Nicole will choose a novelty act.
That said, I do quite like him. He has the likeability so I can imagine people warming to him. |

what is the novelty about him? seriously? i just dont get it.. he isnt good tv.. he isnt funny.. he cant even fake cry...
he certainly cant sing on note.. he cant dance.. also i dont know what part of ibiza he is.. but im told he certainly isnt ibiza as he and tulisa keep telling us he is.. i cant confirm, this either never been! the only thing i can remotely see thats going for him is the fact that the country loves Towie.. but are the characters in towie like him the favourite ones? i dont watch it but the ones that seem to be famous are the men like him out of jungle.. mark and alot of people from essex seem to be cringing about him being a representation of them... we was told there would be no novelty act this year.. and he has said he is taking it seriuosly so cant see him doing anything other than trying to sing his way to glory... ? plus we been told every year that this is a singing comp!! wait it will be said at some point by a judge! so they must have put him thru thinking he has 1 of the top 3 male under 28 voice.. and seen as were looking for according to the judges a act who can sell records across the world.. so maybe they feel he can do this... i dont see any of this. i just see a fame hungry useless singer who is annoying.. and sopmeone who will become a pointless celebrity once its all over with.. hope im wrong and he comes out and smashes it every week .... |

I don't see him as a novelty act, but the producers will most likely try and turn him into one. He is a good singer, with a very likable personality and a lot of stage presence.
To the people saying he isn't funny or nice, fair enough if he doesn't amuse you, Wagner never really interested me in his series, but to say he isn't nice, where have you got that from? He appears as a genuinely lovely guy when he gets airtime... The legend is on his way into the live shows tbh. |

I disagree on him being likeable. I find him tediously annoying.he has taken the place of soneone with talent because he has none.

I kind of hoped that Rylan Clark, Gathan Cheema and Ottavio Columba would have been made into a 'superband' by the judges following their performance at bootcamp!

Joseph Whelan went out to let Rylan through!
Rylan IS likeable, but he cannot sing. He isn't even mediocre, he is bad. He should go out now. |

The thing with Rylan is he's not bad enough to be a funny joke act, but certainly not good enough to get through. He doesn't appear to have any charm or personality, and seems to be a wee bit thick.
Why is he still there? |

If he makes the live shows I can already picture him singing "She Bangs".

Why is he still there? I beg to differ , the joke is on the viewer . |

It doesn't matter whether he can sing or not. They're not going to have him standing on stage singing his heart out. He will be the joke act who performs camp songs trussed up like a gay Christmas turkey and dancing maniacally

It is going to be funny seeing Nicole trying to justify his inclusion in the final three and sending away some talented singers.
He is clearly destined for the live shows on the orders of producers to create entertainment/drama but Nicole is the one who will suffer for putting him through. It is normally Louis job to put through the joke acts and he gets away with it because nobody takes him seriously but for Nicole a credible singer this is going to be difficult and she will get ridiculed for it |

I think he will be the final male standing in possibly the worst ever year for the boys category.
The young female vote will not take to either Jahme or James Arthur |

There needs to be a novelty act ever year, unfortunately.
The McDonald Brothers, Same Difference, Daniel Evans, Jedward, Wagner, Frankie Cocozza.... Just so they can do the scenario on the results show where it's the novelty vs singer vs singer then Dermot shouts out the novelty act name, everyone is shocked and starts to boo and we get our annual "shocks" because genuine singers get knocked out in place of jokes. |

I can just imagine week 5 of the live result shows.
Rylan vs One of the Overs. Louis makes the casting vote to save Rylan and Gary walks of the set. |

Looks like he's destined to be this year's 'novelty act'. He'll attract a sizeable fanbase who will keep him in for longer than he should be.
I don't find anything about him remotely entertaining - he annoys me. |
