That boyband battle decider
Dont know the names but how did the 2nd lot get the nod over the first lot? (I know they are both now in the judges house part).
The first lot sounded better and although I am not in the target demographic (married male in 40's) they also looked the part more than the other three. |

Triple J would've been more successful in the music industry - as they are way more marketable than GMD3 could be. I'm glad they've been reinstated. I thought the boyband decider was a bit pointless as they should've just formed a supergroup but meh.

They weren't more marketable though. They might have looked more like Hollister models than GMD3 but that isn't always a good thing. People will find it easier to relate to GMD3 because they at least have some sort of personality, and even if their vocals aren't incredible the lead guy at least gives them something that isn't standard XF boyband fare.

Couldn’t quite understand it myself.
Essentially boybands are there for teenage girls. Which in most cases, comes down the looks, something GMD3 were sadly lacking in. The others were more attractive and better singers. |

It seemed an odd decision IMO - GMD3 seemed dated and sung a ballad, Triply J seemed current, good looking, more marketable and sung a much more up to date song.

Also preferred Union J or whatever they're called over the stage school brat group. Can't say I like either group but I'm another female, aged 40+ so what the heck do I know?

I only caught a bit of it, I thought they both sounded good, the first were better looking lads but a bit 'preppy' looking, second sounded better. And I wanted them all to join together as a six-piece.

I thought GMD3 were a lot better in the song off, and I've heard some of their covers. Micky (the lead singer) in particular has an incredible voice! They're all lovely boys and the earlier poster who called them 'stage school brats'...bit too far?
