Just thought I'd lift this out of one of Karma's links.

Songs and running order:

Monday night’s lineup:
1. Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy - Quickstep to “Mrs. Robinson” by Simon and Garfunkel

2. Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy - Samba to “Want U Back” by Cher Lloyd

3. Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke - Samba to “Copacabana” by Barry Manilow

4. Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd - Rumba to “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston

Team Shawn Group Freestyle: “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepson
Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough
Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel
Apolo Ohno and Karina Smirnoff
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovoloni

Tuesday night’s lineup:
5. Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovoloni - Tango to “Toxic” by Britney Spears

6. Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel - Waltz to “So This Is Love” from Cinderella

7. Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff - Samba to “Give It To Me Baby” by Rick James

8. Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough - Rumba to “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion

Team Gilles Group Freestyle: “Gangnam Style” by Psy
Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd
Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke
Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy
Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy

Should be fun to compare Maks and Kirstie's QS to Mrs Robinson with Anton and Jerry's. Wonder who will come out of that on top....Hmmm...

Let's hope it's right this week soupy lol. The one I posted last week was completely wrong, from a newspaper, the muppets had just about got the couple's names right, everything else was wrong on their predictions

Seems a bit odd they should be doing Mrs Robinson, same as Jerry and Anton and Cher Lloyd sang that song on the show a couple of weeks ago. Still Nicky and Karen, did the same as Derek and Shawn, to their music, so seems to be a bit of an overlap. I will wait and see if they have it correct.

Yes, some of the song choices are a bit recent or odd for guilty pleasures. Better check with PureDwtS. Drat!

Unless this is soley for drama it looks Melissa has been injured and it is questionable she will be dancing tonight.

Video and article from people. Caution loud siren noise.

Melissa was cleared to dance. It sounded like she had steroid injections to her disc.

Scores are in:

The freestyle dance was good. Call Me Maybe was a much easier song to work with and they had better dancers overall. It'll be interesting to see the other one tomorrow.

Want u Back was a terrible song for a Samba. Very unfair. The song is terrible lyrically, musically and in terms of the message it gives out. What are the half-hearted grunts about? What is the appeal of it

Evidently the Tuesday show was taped directly after Monday's. The scores and judges comments are already on the surfacing on the net.

I thought the judging after Gilles rumba was hilarious. Carrie Ann is crazy.

I just heard. Sadly I do think they trying to make Giles a winner. And I can't care less of his dancing. I hope Shawn quick his buttom. I got the feeling they trying to get rid of Apollo. And they will.

Can't help feeling Kelly and Val were a bit shafted this week, partly because of the song, but also the marks. Their dance looked better to me than Kirstie's .

I liked Kirstie and Maks' QS (well compared to Jerry's attempt on SCD) and her dress was lovely. I wish she would wear her hair up in the ballroom though . No raiding of the dressing up box this week. Small mercies, and all that.

Emmit and Cheryl's samba was good, but I don't like his hunched over posture and thought they were over marked.

Gilles and Peta's rumba was good, but it was all Peta, wasn't it? (her dress was beautiful). Also, I find rumbas on Dwts to be a bit too 'physical' and not very lyrical, if that makes any sense. (Whereas, on Strictly, bar a few exceptions, they are just feeble ). The hyping of Gilles is puting me off, even though I quite like them.

Group dance was fabulous. Really dynamic and exciting. Gawd knows what the blinking Gangnam dance will bring tomorrow!!

Too many 10s dished out this week - where can the judges go now?

Karina has challenged Apollo in every single way, she has teach him proper ballroom technique, and very good food work. If you go an watch their quick steps was excellent. If you compare the one he did wit Julianne, was good performance but bad technique. And their foxtrot were very difficult too.
I get the impression they just want Gilles to win. And yes he is a good performer but his technique is bad. And Karina try to play by the book, no flafing about, and then they punished them.
Feel that this is ridiculous.
Really hope in the end Shawn or Sabrina win. I know Apollo won't.

Gilles is a bit of a mediocre dancer IMO. He looks good, so the judges fawn over him. I have a feeling Shawn is going to win though.

Enjoyed Melissa and Tony's tango. She did a good job considering her injury and she looked great. Tom and Len's 'exchange' was brilliant. (Wish Tom would commute with Len and Bruno )

I kind of agreed with Len about Shawn and Derek's rumba being clipped (and I don't think she did have the right hip and leg action ), but as a performance and piece of choreo, I thought it was fab and I loved the lift-catch! Everyone disappeared into the dry ice during judges comments (and CAI as the iceberg )

I can't believe Carrie Ann's comments about Apolo and Karina not working as a team! Samba's a difficult dance and I thought that was tricky with the music. Good job. I kind of see what CAI means about not having had a spectacular dance, but I don't think he's getting enough credit for being technically good, where Emmit, who's technically poor, is praised. Apolo is best of the men, I think.

Dressing up box for Louis! Hated the schmaltzy song, but Sabrina danced really well, good body contact. I wasn't sure that spin/not-lift quite worked. Loved her hair up. Slightly over marked for me. I love Sabrina, but she needs to be a bit more subtle.

The script for this week obviously required all the pros to give a little pep-talk to their celebs

Gangnam Style. Dear Lord! . Some of them were less enthusiastic than others about the dressing up box (how did Cheryl manage that?!) Kelly was fab and she and Val still managed to look cool. Not sure it was the best choice having Kirstie's a**e front and centre at the beginning! . Didn't like the bit where Peta did the splits in a handstand and Gilles looked at her crotch!!!! Yuk! Went off Gilles in the training clip, but it was worth it to see him dance in a nappy! This was so wrong, it was almost brilliant!

Haven't watched part 2 yet, but Carrie Ann falling off her chair was the funniest thing I've ever seen on DWTS or Strictly! Priceless!

I must agree. Shawn is a great performer and has the litheness to secure the trophy. Gilles is another arrogant he-male.

In case you haven't seen this..... maybe some of you would be interested in seeing this from Mon. nights show. Gilles Marini (from Sex and the City movie) and pro partner had just finished performing their dance...the rhumba to Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You"...from the movie, "The Bodyguard". In their VT before the dance, Gilles said there was going to be " a lot of "baby-making" after their dance". Now they finished their dance and walked over to the judges. This is CarrieAnn's reaction. (This isn't staged.)
