Thanks. I didn't hear Tom say it was a double elimination week, but as the scores were rolled over I thought I'd ask in case I'd missed him saying it.

It occurred to me tonight while watching the VTs for the dances that while DWTS is a cheesefest we get to see the training for the week and how the couples interact in the training room for the particular dance. And I know they are heavily edited for drama, etc. but still you get a senses of what the week was like. I can't figure out why SCD decided to change their format and now does the scripted VTs.

), for being all show and no substance, but I think in some ways it's the opposite. I loathe the VTs on SCD and wish we could just see the training room - the natural dramas and funnies are so much more interesting than the VTs that only a 4 year old could love

Thanks for the links Lili
![]() I loved Apolo's VW. It gave me goosebumps. I know Melissa & Tony are good but I just can't warm to them. I much prefer DWTS to SCD now. I didn't lilke Giles trousers & Peta's outfits have been a bit tacky this series

Just going through Some past interviews, I found interesting the one Someone asked to Apollo the different style from Julianne teaching and Karina teaching. Karina seems to be more focus to teach him the different steps in each dance, and make sure he did differentiate and recognize every dance steps. While Julianne teaches him how to do steps for a choreography.
Wondering how many professionals teach just steps for the choreography because the little amount of time they have, or teach the most of the required steps of each dance like they are teaching a normal student learning ballroom or Latin. That may explained some of the celebrities look like they are dancing the same dance, in spite they dancing a different style of dance every time they dance. I seems to remember Alesha Dixon, saying something about Matthew C teaching her specific steps that help her to understand the dances in order to remember how to make up for a mistake if they mess up with the dance. So basically I think I prefer Karina's and Matthew's style of teaching, because no matter what happened I think you will be able to cope better if you make a mistake. |

Was she ballet trained, thought I heard that somewhere? Giles and Peta what's with the tacky outfits, it made him look like he had rubber legs too bendy ![]() ![]() He also looks flat footed not wearing correct dance shoes, they may have helped him a bit. The camera angle made it look like he was looking at Peta's bum when he was stroking down her back Carrie Ann needs to be tethered to her chair permanently when Giles is in close proximity to her, she goes gaga, calm down dear.![]() ![]() Although she did give him some criticism this week.Got to say for all my critical remarks, I have enjoyed DWTS more than SCD this year, because generally a higher standard of dancel. Although not keen on the country music, wish they would stop the themed weeks and here too, it's getting a bit out of hand. Thank goodness DWTS didn't do a Halloween night, small mercies. |
