That's ridiculous! I've been supporting her, Kelly, Emmitt and Melissa - I love Kirstie too, but she should have gone.

And I'm actually more shocked for her elim than I was in Season 5 - baring in mind that this time, she was the highest scorer of the night and had the best average all season.

I know the feeling. But not surprise. DWTS always been like this. I know that SCD has been some upsets but never the top of the leader board. The only one I can think of was Emma Button but she was eliminated in the final not earlier than that.

I had the feeling this was going to happened though. Sabrina doesn't has a big fan base. And the judges has already but in the mind of people that Karina and Apollo doesn't have chemistry so no matter what they do now, the people already has already chosen their favorites. Although I had the feeling that was Melissa in the bottom two rather than Apollo.

Hopefully Apolo & Karina changed some minds with their VW.

Next week they are doing fusion dances (more craziness) and a swing marathon.

Here are the fusion dances as chosen.

- Melissa: TANGO/CHA CHA (chosen by Kirstie & Maks)
- Kelly & Val: CHA-CHA/FOXTROT (chosen by Sabrina & Louis)
- Emmitt & Cheryl: RUMBA/SAMBA (chosen by Shawn & Derek)
- Kirstie & Maks- QUICKSTEP/SAMBA (chosen by Karina & Apolo) the reaction of all four of them was hilarious.
- Shawn & Derek: TANGO/PASO (chosen by Melissa & Tony)
- Gilles & Peta - AREGENTINE TANGO/SAMBA (chosen by Kelly & Val)
- Apolo & Karina:CHA CHA /PASO (chosen by Gilles & Peta)
Sabrina would have danced Tango/Foxtrot had she stayed.
Cha cha and Paso don't blend together. Don't understand this fusion.

This seems so wrong. I don't know how they do the maths on DWTS but I thought that the only way the person at the top of the leaderboard could end up bottom after the public vote was if the public vote preferences were exactly the reverse of the judges leaderboard. Does the US really love Kirstie Alley so much?

I wonder if the vote was affected by the fact that a substantial number of viewers in the East lost their electricity on Monday night. Even if they saw the show I doubt voting was a priority

Credit to Sabrina, though - even though she was gutted she kept it together and said some nice things to Tom and Brooke.

Sabrina didn't seem all that surprised. she'd probably prepared herself after the last time. I feel really sorry for her.

I am about to get on the grassy knoll. The girl had a perfect score and that was a touching rumba.

The first time she was eliminated Len had a go at her.
Noooooo! I loved watching Sabrina dance. Doesn't make any sense. I really thought the public vote was getting it pretty right and then they go and do this

Maybe Hope Solo was right.......

I shall be so grumpy if, after all this fantastic dancing, we end up with Emmit, Kirstie and Gilles in the final. Grrrrr!

Some of those fusion dances make sense and others really don't. I wish they would just do a week 'straight'.

Lili I agree LOL

I think for the first time this result might be fixed. TBH. Ever since Bristol was eliminated it got boring IMO and now all of a sudden she is shockingly eliminated week 6 AGAIN!?

Producers where gagging at it happening again. Huge controvesy. Poor Sabrina. Maybe a publicity stunt. Afterall how can we prove the ABC producers fixed the result.
I'm not usually a big conspiracy theory fan, but it's very convenient that she went out on week 6 when she topped the leaderboard. It couldn't have been any other week, could it?

Even if she wasn't popular, I can't believe that people like Melissa and emmitt are raking in the votes.

The scores seem to be very suspect at times too. Derek can do whatever he wants really. Gilles performed a totally out of control Cha Cha and still received a nice score.

Sabrina didn't deserve to leave. I wish she hadn't joined the season now. Leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

I got the feeling she has some true in what she was saying. But people always going to doubt about it.

Well I would like to say I am surprised, but I'm not, it should have been either Kirstie or Emmit eliminated. We know that's not always the case, the worst dancer should be going home but it's a popularity/personality vote too. Does seem unfair, particulary as Sabrina was voted on by the fans, but she just doesn't seem to have the backing for what ever reason. I would have been more upset if Apolo had gone home though.

It's not just next week that's doing fusion, we had it this week with County music and line dancing thrown into the routines. They seem to tinker with things a bit too much. Can't we just have a week of 'normal' but innovative ballroom and latin please.

Agree. But you know people there like flashy stuff. If a professional doesn't go flashy the won't vote them. Theme goes down well there.

Just seen the result. Nobody has posted that Dancing With The Stars uses a different voting system to us and has done since about season 3 I think.

They allocate half the votes based on the judges scores as so..

Sabrina & Louis 88.5 6.58%
Apolo & Karina 86.5 6.43%
Melissa & Tony 86 6.39%
Shawn & Derek 84.5 6.28%
Gilles & Peta 84 6.25%
Emmitt & Cheryl 82.5 6.13%
Kirstie & Maks 82 6.1%
Kelly & Val 78.5 5.84%

That means the judges scores actually give the top couples very little advantage over the other couples - they may as well not contribute at all.

The public votes are then added so if you got 20% you would get 10% added to your score above.

Sabrina and Louis only need to be 1.5% behind all couples to get sent home.

Thanks for that Saturn, it does in deed seem the judges don't contribute a fat lot then. So no one can really blame them for the good dancers being sent home a head of the worst dancers, do you think that's done by design, so they don't catch the flak.

Thank you for the explanation. You right Karma, they may no want to be blame.

I think the scores are very biased for certain couples. This is why I mostly ignore what the three judges say now and just decide for myself If The dance was good or not.

I do think that the storm may have had something to do with voting. The eastern seaboard did not air DWTS on Monday and the rest of the country was watching Piers Morgan's live coverage on CNN or so it seems. So the voting may have been low.

I thought it very odd last night that a) no bottom two and b) Tom did not turn to the judges before elimination and ask the usual "what does it mean if we lose...."
