Since the season has ended I'm just popping in to say thank you to all the kind posters who take time to post links and inside information to this thread so that we can follow DWTS. Look forward to 'seeing' you all again next Spring!
I see we're not the only ones following DWTS from the UK as apparently the SCD couples are doing dance fusion routines next Saturday. That'll be a choreo challenge for some of the pros! Oh...and Bruno fell off his chair...we've seen that before too (I'm sure it was completely accidental |

I have the awful feeling that Dance Fusion on SCD is going to be dreadful. I wasn't thrilled by Dance Fusion on DWTS, but I think it could be much worse on SCD.

I thought the followers of DWTS might be interested in this article. Don't know how much rings true but its sounds legit. DWTS looks to be dropping the fall season and only doing one show a year.

If the ratings drop in the spring I could see them canceling the show altogether because the advertisers won't get on board and ABC will pull the plug.
I can definitely see Len and Bruno being happy about not having to commute in the fall and just working the spring season because as I understand it they stay in LA for the 10 weeks while filming. Len plays golf and seems less tired and Bruno cooks for him. It would probably be better for SCD

I'm glad they are keeping the spring one as it means I get dancing throughout the year

http://www.nypost.com/p/entertainmen...Tr8PGYVh7KOLJI Thanks for that Lili hope they take that on board then “Turns out people didn’t want to see people who could dance. They wanted people who couldn’t dance,” Rasulo said. I I agree we need a more level playing field, you get a bit cynical when you know some celebs have had quite extensive training pre DWTS. Can see why they do it though it makes it more entertaining in a way but you feel for the ones with no training who don't stand a chance. Thinking Apollo and Kelly here for example. Hope they get that and are more fair to everyone, celebs and pro dancers. The judges need to actually critique the celebs properly. It must take a heck of a lot to keep the 2 shows a year going, they must have DWTS fatigue producing those big shows. They are right it does need a revamp they came across a bit desparate this last season throwing everything they could at it and hoping something worked out. |

![]() Maybe Tris could come & do SCD in the autumn & go back to DWTS in spring ![]() ![]() ![]() Yes at least we will have one each to keep us going. Wishful thinking, Tris on both shows, did you see him on Katherine Jenkin's show, Steppin Out. It was a nice to see him dancing? Katherine and Mark are on ITT tonight and I think are dancing on SCD maybe this weekend. http://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/...s-8390426.html Can you still do the splits? I can still do most of the moves. I’m back in training at the moment because I’m going to be making a special appearance, dancing with my partner Mark, on Strictly. There won’t be a vote but it’s going to be daunting because I’ll be on home turf. Looks like Derek came over here too with Mark, might see him in the audience. |

“It was by chance really, I was very aware of the show before but it was something I never thought about doing. I was working with London and DWTS contacted me about doing Season 11, but at the time I was in Burn the Floor and had just agreed to do the tour so didn’t want to jump ship. Funnily enough, I had an audition for Strictly Come Dancing, the U.K. version of DWTS and they didn’t want me.”
Boo, BBC, boo.

Even with fewer viewers it's still the champ for ABC. If there are fewer viewers in the spring then ABC very well may change the format or seasons, but I doubt they will drop it altogether. |
