And most likely counterproductive. All the sympathy she will get.
That's what I thought, wonder who sent it, the production team

Every season I reserve a special place in my heart for "The Lady I Just Wanna Kiss".
Thanks Sabrina. Your beautiful smile did it for me this time. Scrumptious! |

What is the theme this week? Are they recreating their own dances or are they recreating iconic performances by other people on the show?

Giles rather pretentiously said he would not be doing another celeb's dance, as it would be like altering a Picasso painting, not in the same league as a Picasso, Giles but I get the gist. Looking back at the KYPost article, on my previous post above, I think that may be accurate, as Kelly is doing a paso in the photo I also linked to and they have her down as doing a paso. Seems like the theme is past dances as far as I can tell. Now I am really confused looked at Pure Dwts list and remember Kirstie saying about dancing to 'moves like Jagger' so this could be correct then????? |

I read, worryingly, that Bristol is recreating Joanna's Futuristic Paso, Kirstie's doing Carson's Cha Cha....there's a whole list on puredwts.com |

It does seem to be that they are recreating iconic performances, I'm not sure I'd count all the supposed dances as iconic (Joey and Ashly's Cha Cha.. as if people really remember that dance!) but at the same time I'd rather them not try and alter some of my favourites from the past

Well, on a general discussion thread, may I propose that, should they get to the final, that Shawn and Derek don't choreograph a freestyle and just redo that Quickstep? Get Len and CarrieAnne's point about having to dock a point for breaking the rules (Even so, 8 Len?) but by God as a dance and a celebration of it, that was the best dance I can remember!

Here are the dances for tonight. The theme is that the "stars have creative control" I wish these clips had the practice because the approach to each of of these dances was quite interesting.

Fabulous dance and once again Derek's creativity with choreography is showcased. Shawn is a little firecracker. I am enjoying Kelly this season and she has been a pleasant surprise for me. |

Just watched the Gilles/Peta Tango. I really don't get the hype with him
Yes, he's very good looking. He's a decent enough dancer, but most of his appeal seems to be based on the way he looks. I thought Peta looked a bit tacky and the entrance was gimmicky. He might be a shock exit in a few weeks. |

Derek's choreography is amazing. I loved that dance.
I loved Apolo & Karina's Foxtrot too. I can't wait to see how the results show twist works out. |

Thanks for the links Lili
![]() My favourites this week were Kelly and Val, doing the paso and Apolo and Karina. I liked the fact they just concentrated on the dancing without props interfering with the choreography. I was probably the only one not as wowed by Shawn and Derek, I felt some of the lifts and tricks broke the flow of the dance, I preferred Julianne's original choreography. Saying that, they at least revamped the original and made their mark with it. Think Sabrina overpowered Louis this week, she toned it down and matched him last week. For the Paso she is channelling Mark Ballas, she is certainly stamped with his style of dance, which can swamp other pros, she looked more energetic than Louis. She also needs a bit more support in her costume, up top.Mark and Bristol's concept this week, was whackier than last week, someone has picked the lock on the dressing up box aided and abetted by Maks and Kristie Although think Maks and Kristie out did them with the props - the Mini and their wigs, found Maks' more distracting this week I preferred Harry and Alion, dancing to Moves Like Jagger on SCD. Could be Helio and Drew in the bottom 2, Helio and Chelsie were unfortunate with the costume malfunction. Was Giles living his fantasy I was underwhelmed by it and didn't like Peta's hair or outfit.

Shawn is good and ,love Dereck choreography for her, but for me was more than a show dance than quicksteps. |
