Agree with this. I didn't understand the high scores for Melissa samba I was distracted by all the tricks they put in their dance. Sabrina over attack the Paso. And Giles was tacky choreography.
Apollo and Kelly were the best for me in terms of dancing. Shawn is good and ,love Dereck choreography for her, but for me was more than a show dance than quicksteps. Here's the longer vt's with the training footage - bar Bristol who was having a major strop. I pity Mark he looked watery eyed in their 'On The Red Carpet' vt. Talk about the ice queen, he must have got frost bite this week brrrrrr ![]() http://www.youtube.com/user/rose2bee Ps scroll down for the VT's

I liked Kelly and Apolo the best, they just danced simply well. Kelly and Val have amazing chemistry going between them, that is a huge plus factor in their favor.
While I liked Derek's choreography, I don't like his tricks. He wants to win the audience over, and with tricks etc he does it, but it is unfair, that he breaks rules all the time, and basically just gets away with it. |

Derek has been innovative with his choreography in past seasons and I enjoyed it, but these last 2 seasons I find it a bit tedious, don't really know why. I do think if Shawn is allowed to do gymnastic moves in her dance routines, other than the freestyle, then Apollo should be allowed to don his speed skates and have an ice rink built. So he can incorporate a few moves into his dances (Tongue firmly wedged in cheek) I'm been extreme in my analogy but fair's fair

Apolo and Karina's FT was foxy and fabulous, and although I was hypnotised by Karina, I have to assume Apolo did a great job -if he'd been awful, I'd have noticed him! I loved Kelly and Val. I said last week, I wasn't keen on Val last time, but he's really come into his own with Kelly. They have a fantastic connection and their Paso was gimmick-free and intense. I loved it. Sabrina and Louis were brilliant, but I agree with some of the criticism. Sabrina needs to rein it in to bring more light and shade (although I love her gusto!) I have no words for Maks and that Jagger...thing!!! Kirsty does a great cha cha, but I was too distracted by the Maks-camp-o-rama. A weird cross between Noel Fielding and Conan the Barbarian. If Kirsty was making the creative decisions, then she really must've had it in for the man's dignity! ![]() Mark and Bristol. Mark - those gloves and a crown. Dear Lord! A CROWN?!!!! (Re: the meltdown - It's hard to know if she's being a brat or if he is being weird with her).Drew and Anna. Sorry. I'm just not getting Drew. Meh. Was he good the first time round? Helio and Chelsie. Also a bit non-plussed and struggling to care. Giles and Peta. They ought to be fabulous, but I think Peta is maybe trying too hard to stand out and she probably could play it a bit more down the line and get a better result. I used to like him and they make a striking couple. but I'm not mad keen. In fact, the only thing I can remember about their routine is him being wired in. (Why? )ETA: forgot about Emmit and Cheryl. He hasn't really grabbed me before, but I quite enjoyed this Paso, though I think he's a bit sloppy. Loved Cheryl's dress and boots ![]() I hope Bristol goes - she's a bit of a downer on an otherwise exuberant series - but I wouldn't miss Drew or Helio too much. |

Thanks for all the days news. I got the feeling Shawm will take the mirror ball maybe Kelly and Sabrina take the third spot. But Giles will be the runner up again. Shawn is the sweet heart american girl and Olympian. Although Apollo is an also an Olympian, he is in a sport that really not too many people follows. And Giles has the women fainting for him. I don't get Melissa this season, she hasn't wowed me yet. choreography wise and dancing wise she has been mediocre. But people there love her and want Tony to win.

I thought Drew was seriously undermarked compared to what followed - indeed, other than him I thought the marking was very generous last night.
Of course, Golden Boy Derek got a standing ovation for breaking the rules while Mark got torn into last week. As he said in the VT everyone breaks the rules but he tends to be the only one pulled up for it. I am starting to feel sorry for him; I know he's not the most loved of the pros here but he does seem to be the judges pet hate. Kelly and Val are just stunning; I didn't expect Kelly to be so good considering she competed in series one but she's definitely a front runner. What on earth had happened to Maks - it's quite a feat to make him look camp... |

I wrote these down really fast so I hope I did not miss anyone. Here are the dances next week as chosen by other couples.
Gilles and Peta - Bollywood. Sabrina and Louis - Disco. Shawn and Derek - Mambo. Emmitt and Cheryl - Bolero. Apolo and Karina - hip hop (oh happy did he look!). Melissa and Tony - jitterbug. Kelly and Val - Contemporary. Bristol and Mark - rock and roll. Kirstie and Maks - Charleston. (Helio would have done broadway had he been saved). |

I can't believe Bristol wasn't in the bottom 4!
Drew and Helio must have been disappointed, but they were both a bit meh for me. |

Kirstie's Charleston will be a technical mess, but she'll try. Bristol can't really do anything, so next week will be no different. I can't imagine Gilles doing Bollywood at all! He'll probably just take his shirt off and get high scores anyway. |

I'm confused by the results. Kirstie and Sabrina were in the bottom 4 but not in the bottom 2?
Shawn performed the Mambo as the team dance on Season 8 so she has a slight advantage. I'm most looking forward to seeing Disco and Hip Hop being performed. |

I thought Shawn and Derek getting the encore performance on the results show was unfair to the other pros who did not break the rules or cheat in their dance. The judges irritated me because they did not seem that bothered with the rules being broken but when Bristol broke hold in her quickstep they were incredibly rude to her.
After watching the Week 3 confessional I think Val really likes Kelly ![]() Yes, the judges are incredibly inconsistent. Derek can do whatever he wants apparently. I hope he does leave after this season. |

Don't kill me y'all but I am really happy Bristol is safe this week. KIrstie should have left the show not Drew. Oh well. I did not agree that we had a double elimination this week as they should have left it till about the Semi Finals Like our version does. I think the producers wanted Bristol out.
Her Paso was good though IMO and her and Kelly's dances where the only ones I remembered the day after if I am honest. Next week should be fun. I think the order was for the Bottom 4 1st - Sabrina (Probs just lower than Bristol so made drama putting her with Helio for the final result) 2nd - Kirstie (Btm 2) 3rd - Helio (Eliminated) 4th - Drew (Eliminated) |
