I enjoy seeing the make-up and costumes up close.

This one makes me laugh, I think I am liking Maks in a wig

Yeah, but people wouldn't be interested in her if her mum wasn't Sarah Palin. I don't think she has a very exciting personality. She's definitely a winner for ABC though.

Kirstie gurns enough normally and I doubt her technique will be brilliant! I do like the dance when it's performed well though.
Bristol dull? Didn't you see her at that gun club firing off rounds? That was exciting. And those homophobic and racist tweets she and her even lovelier sister exchanged with ex-class mates when they dared to criticise her mum? Thrilling.
But you're absolutely right. When she starts talking I'm reminded of the song Into the Void by a Birmingham band.
She should have had a personality implant instead of chin/cheek implants. Which btw make her look stunning. Never did the face of evil look so beautiful. It's criminal, there ought to be a law...

Regarding Kirstie. Isn't it strange she gets the dance that suits her best? Bad call by Sabrina and Louis?

as long as it's entertaining, I'm fine.

I do wonder why it has not made a return since several seasons ago. it's really fun to watch.

Wow, the quality this week was crazy. Say what you will about Derek, the fact is he is the shows best dancer, best choreographer and creates the best dances, by a distance. The only one who ever came close was his sister. Maybe he does break rules, get the best partners etc but the show is so much richer for having what he produces. He/he & shawn are a joy to watch.
The thing is, though, that Derek is given each year a possible winning partner. Some other pros never get to show their best dancing or choreography because their partners are not ready for that level. It is really great to see Val's excitement, when he has a partner, with whom he has a chance. Also, Derek breaks the rules, but he will never be voted off because of this, he knows it, so he can choreograph "illegal" dances which give him an advance with the viewing audience. I wish the judges for once deducted properly for the rule breaking, and we would see what Derek would do then.

Whilst I do agree with you (always getting a good partner particularly rankles), there's a degree of chicken and egg at play. I believe he's a good teacher (though, he's never had a total dud, so it's hard to be sure); I don't always love his style of dancing (just a matter of taste, really), but I do think he's a spectacular choreographer and incredibly creative. If I were running the show, I wouldn't want to waste that. I'd probably give him good partners, too .

If the audience want to give him their votes regardless, then so be it. Where I think he's given too much of a pass is with the judges scores. They waxed lyrical about that QS (and rightly), whilst acknowledging they had to deduct marks, then barely punished them .

I agree. People are entitled to vote however they want. the judges should be as impartial as possible. I can't stand Derek because he and his partners get away with murder. His "jive" from last season was shocking.

I don't think the Bollywood dance is going to be great, as even Peta doesn't seem to have a clue what she's doing. It doesn't really matter, as he'll take his top off and the judges will give him high marks anyway.

Peta doesn't look like she knows what she is doing, but just hope they pull it together for Monday. If in doubt go topless Giles not Peta

Think some of the couples drew the short straw this week.

Very much though. Shawn will probably top the leaderboard this week.

BIB Mark is good to put last week behind him after Bristol threw him under the bus, don't think I'd put myself out for her.

Val and Kelly looking sombre, Kelly is wrecked and feeling under the weather, so hope they are able to give their best.

We all borrow our info from somewhere

Bit of an eclectic choice of music this week.

Karina and Apolo are going way back for their hip hop track.

Jai Ho is probably the only Bollywood song they know and that's probably because of Slumdog.

I hope Kelly and Val can pull off their contemporary dance, it seems it has been a struggle.

Karina sounds confident.

Giles trying a few moves at about 1.25 on the vt.

Old vt of Apolo but interested to hear the difference for him dancing in this series rather than with Julianne.

They have a good catchy track too, to get people into the mood of disco.

Gilles irritates the bejesus out of me. His desperation is palpable and I don't think he's a great dancer. Just go already

Sabrina is a bit desperate too, but I like her. At least she's a good dancer. I hope she manages to being some "light and shade" (yes I hate that phrase too) to her dancing tonight. It should be a good night overall.

He doesn't irritate me yet, but his is desperate to win, his reason for wanting to win this week is because his daughter wants the glitterball, last week it was for Peta, just say it's for yourself Giles. Apolo said how much Giles wants the win. Think if you put winning ahead of enjoying yourself it shows.

I like Sabrina but she is a bit frenetic sometimes, if she toned it down a bit she would better suit Louis.

Going off on a tangent Damian Whitewood's name is coming up in the Russell Crowe and Daniel Spencer split.

So those rumours that were flying around during the last Oz season were true.
Lesson to be learned. If ýour relationship is going through some rough times, don't let your partner participate on Strictly or DWTS.

Yep seems to act as a catalyst for some. Her body language when reunited with Russell was stiff as a board.

Damian looks happy in their photos.
