Editors: The Back Room (Help finding similar albums/music)

Editors: The Back Room is probably my favourite album of all time. A lot of the tracks sound the same - dark, fast, loud and moody. Do any fans of Editors know any songs/bands/albums that are similar? My favourite tracks are: Munich, Blood, Someone Says and Fingers In The Factories.

Interpol, Joy Division... I know of them but are there any others?
Also, are there any other huge fans of this album? It was quite a big hit back in 2005/2006, it got to number two in the charts and got many good reviews.

Well I was going to say Interpol and Joy Division but you've already been there.

I love Editors' work. Hope they can continue as good with the new lineup.

Maybe if you wanted to try a little risk into dark, moody pop - Hurts - Happiness is an incredible album.

Bastille - Bad Blood?
Glasvegas?
Mona?
The National?
TOY - Lose My Way?
The 1975 - The City?

There's a few similar sounds to the Editors in those bands/songs. The Back Room is a fantastic album, definitely my favourite from the band.

Bauhaus, The Psychedelic Furs, Killing Joke I would say or
early Simple Minds and The Cure, perhaps?

Me too, I reckon they'll carry on well. A couple of their new songs that they've played live sound great (Nothing and The Sting.)

I went to School with Theo Hutchcraft from Hurts, he was in my Science group and PE group. Nice guy, couldn't believe it when I saw him all over Facebook and iTunes with a top five album in the charts. Cheers for the suggestions, I'll check out the tunes/bands you've mentioned. I've heard The National before and a few Glasvegas songs but will do some Youtubing of them all shortly.

Already watched this about three times, I'm a big Editors geek Thanks for the link anyway, I love the new song that starts at 52.41, "Nothing." I can see that being their first single from the new album.

look up "the rat" by the walkmen on youtube, one of the best songs from the last decade

i would also recommend the album "she wants revenge" by she wants revenge particularly the tracks "tear you apart" and "red flags and long nights"

i would agree with the earlier poster and recommend bauhaus
