If it had 3G I'd be interested, as it turns out the Samsung 10.1" 3g tab2 is available for £249 from amazon (well £299 and £50 cashback from Samsung) so I got one.

Is there a way to hack ICS or preferably Jelly Bean onto the Xoom2?

I would have thought the zoom 2 will get an automatic update to ics with a natural progression upto jellybean in the nesr future, as the original zoom has had a update upto ics, but if you want it now there are websites that tell you how to root/flash it

Doesn't seem like ICS is out for Xoom 2, though I know my dad's original Xoom had it?

Seems wrong to buying a Honeycomb tablet in September 2012

You can also pick up a brand new Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi 16GB from Argos for £199.

Wouldn't recommend one but just in case anyone's interested.

I got an advent Vega myself. Picked one up for a hundred quid off Ebay. Using some customs roms. Got Jelly bean on it, and it's blazingly fast and smooth. Not bad since it's a 10 inch screen and sports a tegra 2 chip. Great value for money. The customs roms do get a little buggy, but it's ok if you are a bit og a techie and don't mind tinkering around a bit.

It would be OK if Samsung actually supported it. There will be no more updates for the device (no JB). This is pathetic as it was Samsung's flagship device and is far more powerful that the Ace Plus which will be getting the latest firmware.

The Xoom 2 isn't even on ICS yet. Motorola are awful with updates.

The original Xoom was touted to be a Google experience device but for non US areas it has been a half year wait just for ICS.
I flashed my Xoom to US ROM and got JB the day it was released for US.

I bought a 16Gb Xoom 2 10.1 on special offer from Currys for £199 last week. Got it home and it upgraded from honeycomb 3.3 to ice cream sandwich 4.0.4.
If you're desperate for jellybean you can easily flash the Xoom 2 to a Google experience device by following instructions here: http://www.simonjstuart.com/2011/07/...oom-for-n00bs/

If anyone is thinking of getting one, it's an awesome tablet. The battery life is really good and the screen is excellent, really smooth and sensitive. I originally went into Currys just to look at a Nexus 7 but after trying out both tablets the Xoom 2 seemed much better value and felt nicer to use.
I also picked up a new Xoom 2 HD dock from amazon from £25.

No you can't. That is only the original Xoom.
