Is anyone else beyond embarrassed now by the actors and Stuart Blackburn's attempts to convince us and themselves that Marlon and Laurel are a remotely convincing and likeable/popular couple?! I literally had to grab a bowl when I read that quote by Charlotte incase I was sick!

I think the actors have developed Stockholm Syndrome where this story is concerned. They're the victims too

The only chemistry I see during this whole storyline is between John and Charlotte by far.

Very embarrassed for them and disgusted at the same time. All these quotes about Maurel being the love of each other's lives and having this amazing chemistry. Yuck. They have the opposite of chemistry.

What annoys me most is that Charlotte also said the majority of viewers want to see Marlon and Laurel together
If they want to delude themselves, fine, but they shouldn't be speaking for the 'majority of viewers', especially when it's a blatant lie about how the majority of us are feeling.

Yes this is what bugs me aswell! I can just about stomach what's supposedly their own personal feelings (prompted by SB!) regarding this story, but please don't try to pretend that the "majority" of viewers are enjoying it too, just because a few 'starstruck' fans are tweeting Mark Charnock about it!!

That's what I think as well, maybe we're both wrong. As characters Ashley and Laurel just work together.

This is true and that's because there's was a slow-burner from the start and built up over the years, whereas Maurel's slapdash affair was dreamed up and thrown together overnight, therefore zero chemistry between the actors:yawn:!

Perhaps there is some 'silent majority' that love Maurel- if that is the case they are very silent indeed

The only good thing in that quote was that Laurel will be intimidated by Bernice's arrival due to Gabby favouring her. However, we're probably going to be forced to sympathise with Laurel's 'hell' at the hands of big bad bitch Bernice.

She thinks chemistry, I think fast forward button and try to never read about this steamy romance on here, I did once and was later found digging a hole in the garden, not sure why rumour has it I was in a trance and crying, I can't remember it as I had my memory wiped, but people remind me often

If by 'amazing' they actually mean zilch, zip, nada, zero chemistry then I agree totally.
This is one of the worst pairings in soap history. And its not helped by having those 2 characters constantly rammed down our throats

I just hate them as a couple, before all this, I liked Laurel but think the producer has totally ruined her character now.

Yes she is a scruffy drip, isn't she, that hair drives me mad - I don't like Rachel's dress sense, i.e. none, but at least her hair always looks neat. Laurel's is dreadful. Maybe she looks lovely IRL, I don't know.

I must say I laughed when I read this aswell. I have almost given up on ED because of these, that and Cameron/Chas isnt really for me. I want to try and keep up for the 40th. At the moment Im probably watching ls than half of the episodes per week and the times I am watching is a habit! MAKE IT STOP NOWWWWWWWW
