As far I am aware, no one is saying she is deluded for enjoying the storyline, no one cares if she's enjoying it but what gives her the right to speak for the rest of us? Especially when what she's saying is so far from the truth.
The only views we can know for certain are those that are expressed - whether that's on DS, somewhere else online or offline.

If its got 6 bedrooms it must be rather top heavy as there are only 2 rooms downstairs?? Plus they only seem to have seating for 3 people at the most but, as like most soaps, they are probably only anticipating the two people having a conversation being in the house alone at any one time. You never get the other inhabitants just wandering through looking vacant/hungry like a normal house. Certainly Sandy will have to give up his usual position on the sofa because they would all have to sit on his lap.

Firstly, I never said DS forum members are the majority and even if Charlotte Bellamy has received positive feedback (although her ridiculous statements seem to be based on her own opinion and desperate need for this story line / couple to be accepted), she still shouldn't be saying that the majority of viewers want to watch Marlon and Laurel together, when there is no evidence of this. Quite the opposite in fact.
If people are loving Maurel it certainly isn't reflecting in the ratings.

Again...as i referred in my other post...You have only seen posts by fellow forum members and maybe the odd newspaper article. although you yourself didn't say it..this is not the majority!! there are over 5-6 million viewers tuning into Emmerdale every night so the affect on the ratings? There was loads of ashley/laurel fans they certainly dont like marlon/laurel together its not just on ds there are other forums etc

Again, Charlotte Bellamy is the one who is saying the majority of viewers want to watch Marlon and Laurel together!! What on earth makes her think that? More to the point, what gives her the right to LIE?!
We're weeks away from the big 40 and Emmerdale's ratings have been dire for months. If Maurel are what people REALLY want to watch then the ratings SHOULD be a lot higher by now because they've been shoved down our throats over the past few months.
Frankly, I don't care what Blackburn or the actors think, I despise Laurel and Marlon so much that I won't even use their mish mash name. They repulse me and have no redeeming qualities.

Slightly confused here.
So us the small minority on here that are voicing are despair about a SL and a coupling on ED don't matter in the scheme of things but the so called postive ones that Charlotte and Mark are getting and maybe the show itself are of more value?
Are they getting hundreds upon hundreds or may thousands of letters or e-mails showing their approval of marlon and laurel being together?
Well I'd like to see the proof.
And the ones that time their time to offload their joy or sorrow or anger about what they are watching don't matter as long as the viewing figures are steady or on the up.
So I'm slightly baffled as into why a small handful of viewers who complained about SLs like the Ronnie/Kat baby death/swap were listened to when the millions that watch the show didn't bother to write or phone in?
It would show to be a lack of respect to us viewers who do bother to voice our concerns with the show's direction.

Would any of us on here give a public interview, stating 'my boss is a total nob, has lost the plot and has no idea what he's doing'? Of course not and neither would these actors.
That being the case, there is no point in criticising Charlotte or Mark for what they have been told to say in interviews.

I totally agree. It just seemed right that they were together in the garden and no, it's not because I hate change (I was all for Chas and Cameron being together at first as I thought they had great chemistry) but because Laurel and Marlon just don't seem to fit. I can even see that on paper they probably should be in reality they just don't.

well all you have to do is search his @ and see if he's telling the truth. you dont have to be a fan of the pairing just cos you follow such and such from emmerdale. most likely its just cos you watch emmerdale and he's in it.
I just had a search to see and from the last week theyre mostly about marlon and paddy only one about laurel but they were all positive people do seem to be enjoying marlon

To be honest I don't think any of the emmerdale cast and crew (apart from Nick Miles) come on this forum, and even Nick lets it go over his head. I don't think he'll be running to the producers anytime soon demanding that "Maurel" spl;it because some people dont like them as a couple.....

But yet again as I said before do you think it has to take milllions upon millions, infact the whole of viewers to complain about this SL when many other SLs have been stopped or changed before with just a few hundred complaints?
I never said you were ACTUALLY saying that but more so implying it in your wording.

that some (if not most) of our wishes on here for maurel to be over should be met. However if he choose to inform them of our feelings regarding them and how there seems to be many a thread about them not being popular as a twosome, I'd be more than happy with that.I've not seen for myself anyone being that rude to Marlon or Charlotte however it would seem it has annoyed people as they seem to just ignore all the negative comments going on about the coupling of marlon and laurel.
Although PJ (Doug from HO) got upset and in some people's eyes couldn't handle the critcism about his gay SL and Doug and Ste as a couple, he at least acknowledge it.

To be fair DS has nearly 2 million members so I think that is a good base of views to draw a conclusion on.
Based on a forum with 1.7million members who watch TV it is in my OPINION that the majority of users on the forum that are soap viewers think that Marlon and Laurel are NAFF together!
Emmerdales viewing figure used to be higher than 5-6million, they were often at 7million so they've actually lost over million regular viewers.

People who tweet famous people are usually sycophants who will agree with everything just to get a little bit of interaction between themselves and the celebrity. Anyone who converses with celebrities on twitter on a regular basis should not be relied upon to be truthful, they will say whatever that celebrity wants to hear and will kiss their asses
