So ITV2 are ditching AI - interesting! Not surprised after the poor selection of judges this year - The Diva (Mariah Carey), The Plastic (Nicki Minaj), The Country Boy (Keith Urban) & the Dawg

The new season starts on 17th January at 8pm on 5* according to the trailers that have started!

Wonder what the reason was for the channel switch Poor viewing figures for a prime slot on ITV2?

Hopefully 5* will give it a bit more respect.
The ITV2 scheduling was awful and the show got chopped to bits especially the results.

Why not Channel 5 but in the listings American Idol is airing on Channel 5 on Friday night at 10pm?

Digiguide have American Idol listed as airing at the same time on Channel 5 and 5* on Friday at 10pm. I think these are part repeats of the Thursday show.

I thInk it's pretty clear what the theme of this episode will be

I always forget how much better the idol auditions look than xfactor and the voice. That view of new York is gorgeous.

Really liking Keith Urban so far... as for Mariah and Nicki, what a couple of prats!

I think Keith will offer some good advice. I'm hoping he does, anyway. And hopefully, Mariah and Nicki won't horse around so much during the live shows.

I wish they wouldn't add so many inflections into their singing. As this guy Evan has just proved with his 2nd song, singing straight, he sounds so much better.

The show definitely got better as it went on! Not too impressed by any of the auditionees! The panel is interesting! Can't decide who I like best yet!

Can the show go back to ITV2 please? At least they gave the show saturday afternoon double episode repeats. Withall the Sky Plus shows needed on a thursday/friday I now end up with hours of clashes when I want to watch some shows live.
