Phone Contracts
Never had a contract before but thinking about it now. Looking at the 02 online shop and the cheapest contract is £19 and you get the phone free. Got a few questions.
1) The price includes 50mins anytime calls and 500 texts. So, i only pay over £19 for a month if i go outwith those mins/texts? 2)How does upgrading the phone work? Would i have to keep the same phone for 12months min or could i get a better phone whenever i want?. 3) It says min contract of 12 months, does that mean the phone is mine to what i please (ie put in a pay and go sim) if i cancel after 12 mths? Any advice would be appreciated. cheers. |

1) Yes if you only use your 50 mins calls (check you can call other network mobiles) & 500 texts you will only pay £19 per month
2) You can upgrade every 12 months. o2 won't remind you after 12 months though. 3) As long as you stay for 12 months the phone is yours A benefit i found with o2 was that they review your contract every so often. I used to be with them then I got a special offer through work |

Pay full price of the phone or something? |

They check that you are on the right tarif for you. They moved me from a terrible one to a really good one after about 6 months.
Not sure what happens if contract cancelled before 12 months, never do it, check the terms & conditions before you sign anything. |

Usually if you want to end your contract before 12 months you have to pay the rest of the year remaining (e.g. if you had 2 months left before cancelling then you would pay them £38 in one payment and they will cancel it.
