I remember the first one coming out. Didn't realise then it was the start of a series (let alone such a long one), because there were always similar compilations being knocked out by the likes of K-tel.

Looking back on it, that first one was quite classy. The Cure Mind you, you paid for that with all that Kajagoogoo crap.

Sad news if a buyer is not found but with sales figures as those quoted, I'd be surprised if an investor wasn't found.

I only got into the Now! series 5 years ago but quickly collected all the CD's and the editiions when there was no CD. It's true they will always be hit and miss just like any other compilation album but it's nice every once in a while to dig out an old CD and hear songs you'd completely forgotten about.
