This answer doesn't help rendez2k at all.... And also, you can't setup a VPN on devices like AppleTV, XBOX etc... Both type of services are completely different.
@rendez2k: About the privacy concern, I don't have any. If you use a VPN, all the informations/data are going through the VPN server, that mean they can store everything if they want to.
With a DNS service like Unblock-Us or UnoTelly, there is no data transfer, the website you want to visit is being told that you use some particular DNS. You also can use Google's DNS (Google it

).
About your Netflix "issue", if you're in the UK you already have access to the Netflix app on your AppleTV so you don't need a US account.
Unblock-Us says that you need a US account because Netflix is not not offered in many countries. For example, in France, there's no Netflix, that means if I log in with my french iTunes account I don't have the Netflix app on my AppleTV. I need to use my US account (or now I could use a UK iTunes account).
That said, enter the DNS on your AppleTV (or router if you want to use the DNS for all your devices), if you have a UK Netflix Account, enter all your informations on the Netflix app (email address and password). Then you manage the Netflix region from Unblock-Us website.
I personally think (and proved in other topics) that Unblock-Us offers more for a cheaper price than UnoTelly does. But bother services work the same
