Latest recommendations for cheap DVD players?
I've had a look at previous threads about quality / value etc of cheap DVD players - I want to get one as a Christmas present and was hoping for a recommendation?? I don't have one myself... I'm looking for something pretty basic but I thought one that plays MP3 and JPEGs would be good.
I know the Acoustic Solutions one in Argos is out of stock. I might be able to get a Yamada 5520 for about £40. Is this still a good deal, or is there anything better? It would be particularly useful if anyone knows of any supermarkets etc selling a good cheap one - I would have to travel a bit to get to the nearest big stores, so it would be excellent to get any info... Thank you in advance for any tips... |

I can recommend the Yakumo XL2 from Amazon
It's £45 (including delivery), unlocked and plays every format you can think of (i.e. DVD, DVD +/-, JPEG, MPEG and probably some others that i have'nt tried). It comes complete with everything you need and it works really well. I managed to get mine when it was only £35 (!!) and it's probably one of the best value things i've bought in recent years. There's tons of comments on the Amazon site if you want to see what others thought of it. |
