I really think its time for Tom Oliver to be given more screen presence.

I disagree.
He's nothing more than a joke character these days, except the jokes aren't funny...
His dodgy deals and money making schemes are nothing more than pointless filler material. It's boring now.

I still like Lou and find him entertaining.

Think he should get more airtime. It seems like he's been part retired due to his age.

I don't watch Neighbours but I did see Tom on the Wright Stuff this week and he said his contract allows him 2 months on and 2 months off so he can concentrate on his charity work.

Yes he isn't the best actor is he?
I don't miss him when he disappears for months on end.

I used to quite like him in the old days, back when he had family in the street and friends like Jelly-Belly and Madge next door, but now days he just gets on my nerves.

He comes and goes at will, taking advantage of those around him. He's not got any ties to the street, or even a home, so why does he keep coming back? Why not go and live with Lauren or even join up with Harrold?

I wouldn't miss him if he went off on one of those never ending cruises.

Opposite in my eyes, don't know why they keep him around when they could use his salary for a character with an actual point

I think they should get Lou with Sheila Canning. He has friends on the street too like Karl and Susan, Lucas, Kate, Kyle etc. Although admittedly he is a lot older than several of them!

Bring in a few older characters for him to interact with or bring back Lauren, Guy or Brenda.

I would love to see Harold return long term though!

Dr Karl has also been swept aside from good material sinse the days of Susan Bowers in the chair.

The producers wanted Lou to lunge and snog Susan but Tom Oliver refused to do it saying it would be completely out of character so they compromised with just an awkward long hug.

I so agree with the actors who suggested this.

I don't remember this story back in the days. Did it actually happen?
