I contacted Nokia by phone and they say Nokia phones are covered by a 24 month warranty. Here's the problem, my phone is kaput and just outside that period and I would have to visit one of the Nokia repair centres which are too far away by public transport.
I did find an official looking website that says that Nokia phones are covered by a 25 month guarantee. They are based in Bristol. http://www.nokiawarranty.co.uk/send-us-your-phone.html Nokia HQ may or may not come back to me to let me know if this is a recognised repair outfit.
If they are genuine I can post my phone to them for a free repair! They look a bit dodgy to me as you can't get through on the phone (is this odd though nowadays?). I have established the phone is faulty by diagnostics and the SIM works in another phone. Advice please.
