Let's not let this thread go the same way as so many others and end up with people saying either that G4 are so much better and should def win or that Steve is obviously the best and will walk it, and then having rival fans starting arguing about it.

Whatever happens it will be an excellent final, great entertainment and I'm sure we'll all be biting our nails at the end waiting for Kate to make the final annoucement.

I agree with you ArtyAttack....the two artists have worked really hard to get to where they are now and both have taken the knocks along the way. It says a lot for both of them that they have stayed focussed and are still in there.

Absolutely! The one success of this show has been to bring 2 completely diverse and different acts to the final. It's almost a shame there has to be a winner - why can't they both get a recording contract and then we'd all be happy

Best of luck to both acts - I can't imagine how nerve-wracking Saturday will be for all of them but I'm sure they'll do themselves (and their fans) proud.

May they all have great careers and I have a feeling that they will do much much better than previous winners of similar types of competitions. They certainly have strong and great followings and the fact that they aren't "just a nice voice", like the majority of winners so far, will hopefully guarantee them a long, successful career. I, for one, can't wait to buy G4's albums.
Paraphrasing what Spellbound said on another thread sometime ago, I hope that they won't let fame get to their heads. They need to "keep it real" and not change too much, as this is a great part of their appeal currently. Their management will be a key factor on the length and degree of their success.
So, may they have good luck and choose the right management

I do think that is incredibly important, Mocha. You only have to look on this forum to see that so many people have this (misguided) idea that those that sing opera are 'divas', stuck up, snobs, minted etc etc. What G4 are doing by making operatic voices more 'user-friendly' is fab, but a big part of the appeal is that these are 4 'normal' lads from 'normal' backgrounds singing with classically trained voices. If they don't keep their feet firmly planted it could spoil what is special about them, and the whole principle behind 'G4'.

Anyway, I'm sure they're intelligent enough to realise this

I agree and I think this is why they are more appealing than Il Divo. Something just doesn't feel right about Il Divo...

Anyway, let's hope that they're indeed intelligent enough to realise this. The same I think applies to Steve in a way. So, I hope that he won't ditch his lovely girlfriend, as it was suggested in the press, for another famous one, once he gets a career.

I've always wanted the acts on the british reality shows to do some songs together like on American Idol. It would be interesting to see how Steve and G4 could combine their voices

Hey everybody, I thought I'd just bump this back up again because I think there has been a bit of friction again between some members and I really thought we'd all called a truce yesterday.

I know that nobody from Team G4 or Team Steve has started any of these silly anti-Steve/anti-G4 threads, so why should we all fall out? Some G4 fans (like Gwen) have said how much they like Steve and some Steve fans (like me) have said how much they like G4, so come on guys....lets's all just enjoy the show tomorrow night and I for one, will be congratulating Team G4 if their boys win (despite my obvious disappointment).

I've only had ONE beer , btw! lol

Quite right. Despite the heated debates we should all shake hands, because whoever wins, wins because of genuine public support. I've made my prediction, but i think it will be very close. There seems to be equal support for both acts.

I think so too fannianni! Both acts have chosen top class tunes....like last week all three did.....it was fabulous last week, although I DID miss the wonderful Rowetta (will always have a soft spot for her).

Do you have a favourite? I don't remember you saying. Or are you just going to enjoy it no matter what?
