I tried the veggie one.

It's quite nice.

RE: Nandos in general...It's okay, but I don't get the massive hype. I know people who eat their virtually every week. Each to their own, I guess.

Thanks, I'll give it a try, the beanie one sounds perhaps a bit too beany for my liking. I can thoroughly recommend the Haloumi & mushroom.

And agree it's ok but the chicken certainly doesn't generate the excitement in me that others seem to find. I have 6 rewards that need using by end of June (was given them & I'm not one to turn down free food).

Well when the build our Nandos and the other restaurants in our new centre, they will not get me inside them. since i not been inside our Mucky D for years, must be be over 20 years, and I have never been in our KFC, i can not really see myself bothering with the other fast food rubbish.

if I am having fast food/take away, I rather go to our local chippy and that is not that often these days.

So you keep droning on about and repeating yourself, must you continue doing so? Most regulars know you prefer a greasy spoon cafe.

I went to the Nandos in The Gate in Newcastle about 2 or 3 years ago. We were going to the pictures and it was nice and handy. I had chicken with one of the hot sauces on it and rice. I LOVED the rice. I enjoyed the chicken. It was a reasonable fast food chain meal and the surroundings were pleasant.

I'm sure I read something a while back that said the chicken was steamed and then popped on the grill with a baste of whatever sauce you asked for before serving.

I'd go back as I thought in comparison to other places like Mac D, Burger King, KFC etc it was tasty food and decent value for the price.

Had the Macho Peas for the first time the other night with my double chicken pitta, they were awesome.

Could have eaten about treble the portion though!
