Where has this sudden slush puppy obsession come from?

There's at least 2 songs out at the moment that mentions them, and there's a few videos knocking about too with them in, take 'Good Time' and 'Heatwave' for example.

Are they steering away from the "PUT YOUR CUPS IN THE AIR" "DRUNK DANCING" to "MAKE SURE YOU KIDS DRINK SLUSH PUPPIES!"

And also, this year has seen a flock of songs which mention about being 'Young'
Fun, Tulisa, One Direction

any more?

Sure beats all the crap Flo Rida was/is still churning...

Whatever this "we're all young" trend or whatever is, I don't expect Madonna to jump on it's bandwagon at least.

I can't say I've noticed the Slush Puppy thing, but yeah I agree, the whole 'young' trend is getting a bit boring. We've also had Ke$ha's Die Young and Nicki Minaj's Young Forever this year.

Perhaps it all started with Jay-Z's Forever Young a couple of years ago?
