Her body was never discovered, after pushing her off the boat Steph threw her suitcase in after her. Her case washed up on a beach 18 months later while Steph was on remand for killing her brother (which hadnt actually done). This reminded Steph of Shelley's murder so she confessed to killing her brother as a way of punishing herself for Shelley's murder. This was the last we ever heard of her however her body was never discovered so she could still be alive and make a return one day - making her the first soap character to come back from the dead TWICE.

Brookside did that big whodunnit with Susannah Farnham being pushed down the stairs, and ages after we found out it was Max, who admitted it to Jacqui Dixon (I think). Though that was it, no-one else found out, and Max certainly didn't get done for it.

Maybe they would have eventually dealt with it but, of course, it was announced that the show was axed not long after this.

This is a good one. I was watching this on youtube the other day and I remember watching it when I was a kid.

Didn't Max go and dig a grave, but when he returned someone found Susannah's body? They made such a big story out of it, but you're right it never seemed to conclude as Max got away with it.

To be fair he didn't really push her though, he grabbed her, let go then she fell back and her heel broke - it wasn't intentional.

And was it announced not long after this? Susannah died in 2000 and Brookside finished in 2003. They had plenty of time to finish the storyline. I can't really remember what happened after.

A year or so earlier, a manic Steph kidnapped Shelley and it was implied she had killed her and because she was suffering from mental illness she couldnt remember what she had done to Shelley. Steph believed she had killed Shelley as she kept having flashbacks to murdering her in the woods. She was declared dead and a memorial service held for her, it was at her memorial service that she returned very much alive.


Max did push Susannah causing her death although it was an accident and he certainly didnt mean to kill her. However he did just run out and leave her afterwards rather than call an ambulance and did contemplate burying her himself. When her body was discovered it wasnt at the foot of the stairs but in another room meaning she was still alive when Max left and had got back up but then collapsed and died.

Why Ben Mitchell didn't speak with a South African accent when her returned to EE, despite having lived their since he was 2! Instead he sounded rather posh!!

And on that note Vicki's accent changes in EE - one minutes she was American and the next talking like she'd been a cockney all her life??

Oh and in HO - did we ever hear anything about Warren's trial for Louise's murder??? I can't remember??!!

I think the Grant and Michelle and Mark storyline is just sitting there quietly waiting to be revealed at some point, probably when Mark has grown up, while he is still quite young it would need Michelle to make a return and that is never going to happen unfortunately.

Whatever happened to Martin's stalker Sarah? She stabbed Martin, got knocked out by Sonia with the fruit bowl and was last seen lying unconscious in the Fowler household. Martin and Sonia then went "on holiday" and she was never mentioned again.

Whatever happened to Sasha Perkins who stayed behind when the rest of the Ferreria's left to run that stall? Never seen or mentioned again. Also Kareena was originally going to stay behind but at the last minute decided to jump into the car with her brothers. Whatever happened to her things? Is she still wearing the same clothes?

Who killed Boots? Why did Shirley Benson never return from her trip to visit her son in New Zealand?
