The Sun is usually quite reliable when it comes to X Factor, and thats where todays story originates from.

I don't think its a case of Mel B being shoehorned in to replace Nicole, but Mel is their backup plan just in case Nicole decides not to come back or starts to take the p*ss when signing a contract. It happened last year whilst trying to negotiate with Dannii, and then she pulled out and they had noone. If the same happens again, then this time they have Mel in place.

I like Sharon a lot and am looking forward to her returning, but if Mel B is in the frame then they should just move forward with Louis, Nicole, Gary and Mel instead.

I really can't see Cheryl coming back to the UK show. When asked about the XF at the end of last year, didn't she made a point of saying 'not XF UK'? I still think if she returns, it will definitely be the US version. Hasn't she moved to LA also?

Nicole is the only judge I liked last year. I hope she returns.

Won't happen. Louis has been a loyal friend to Simon and he will be there until he decides he won't be.

Cowell's trying to get higher ratings, not get the show axed.
